Hello and welcome to this week's episode of 'Learn from Traders'. On this episode, I have with me Mr. Vivek Gadodia, a full-time algo trader and a fin-tech entrepreneur. He is the co-founder of Dravyaniti, a fin-tech company that designs algorithmic-trading systems for its clients and creates Alternative Investment Trading strategy products. We recorded this episode about 3 weeks ago when the war between Russia and Ukraine was quite a hot topic.
Mr. Vivek is a Commerce graduate, but strongly believes that a person’s educational background does not determine his/her success in the markets. The success part comes only when you work hard as a trader or an investor. His background in systems and his experience in trading led him to the second position globally in designing market neutral algorithms of US equities in a competition conducted by one of the world's largest crowd-sourced hedge funds. He is a curious person by nature and believes that the best way to learn something is by teaching it to others. That explains why he is a visiting faculty at the Bombay Stock Exchange’s Training Institute in Mumbai. I’m very excited to learn about algo trading from Mr. Vivek. I hope you get lots of learnings and lessons from his knowledge and experience. Let’s get started!

Mr. Rahul Prajapati is an Options Trainer at Quantsapp, which is a dedicated Options Analytics platform offering free Options trading tools for users. He is an expert technical analyst with an experience of trading multiple asset classes in the stock market. He holds an MBA in Finance and in his career as a trainer, he has trained over 3500 students in the last 5 years. Those are some pretty solid numbers which show that he surely has got a lot to teach us. In this episode, most of the questions that I ask Mr. Prajapati will revolve around Options since it is his area of expertise. As we all are also students of the market, we are glad to have a teacher like him who is so experienced and has so much to offer. He is a strong believer in mentorship as in his initial years in the stock market as a trader, he was lucky to have been under the mentorship of Mr. Ashok Jain. This experience helped him become the trader he is today. I hope that you enjoy this episode and learn lots of valuable lessons from our guest. Thank you for giving me your valuable time. Happy trading and investing!

The lesser I speak about this episode and our guest, the better it will be for you as a listener and a learner. I want you to listen to this episode and dive deep into our conversation and then learn. Everything that Mr. Shapiro talks about in this episode is from his goldmine of lessons that he has accumulated over the course of 30 years of trading. He starts with talking about his early days, and as the conversation progresses, we discuss how trading according to his real personality and beliefs is something that worked for him in the markets. It gave him the name 'The Contrarian' as Mr. Shapiro likes to bet against the market sentiment and follow a contrarian approach. To develop the ability to follow such an approach, a person has to be true to themselves. That is something I picked up Mr. Shapiro from the moment we started talking. He is a true contrarian by nature, but more importantly, he is raw, real, honest and simple. His trading approach is similar. He does not care about the world or what people think of him. He just follows his strategy with discipline, self-belief and patience. Without giving too much information here, I want to confess that this episode is amazing, for the lack of a better word. Mr. Shapiro has a lot to teach every one. Try to make sense of the simple pieces of advice, or rather the pearls of wisdom that he has to offer, and see how much this person can change you for good. If nothing, he will surely help you become more honest with yourself.
To know more about Mr. Jason Shapiro and the helpful work he and his team are doing at their organization 'Crowded Market Report', do check out their website- 'https://www.crowdedmarketreport.com/'. The community at CMR and the membership programs are a good place to learn from and improve as a trader.

This episode is not just about managing your money better. There are tons of life lessons in this that Ms. Neha Singh, our guest and the founder of Womoneysta, shares with us. In this episode, we talk about setting up what she calls a 'freedom fund', why women should not take a backseat in financial decisions and stand up for themselves, how Warren Buffet has a feminine mindset when it comes to investing (maybe that is why he is the greatest investor in the world), the importance of having a supportive partner and parents, and much more. Neha ma'am is definitely an inspiration for me. Through Womoneysta, she has created a community of 500+ women who have learnt how to take charge of their finances and not be dependent on the male figures in their life for managing their money. All the members of the community are on the path to living a life on their own terms and without any financial hindrances. They all owe it to the legendary Ms. Neha Singh who has empowered so many women. Womoneysta is a blend of her passion for personal finance and women empowerment. I had so much to learn from her. I assure you that in this straight up, no bullshit episode, you will get to learn a lot about personal finance plus how to live a life that is well-lived. I highly recommend everyone to give this one a proper hearing and share it with all your female friends and the members in your family and close circle. If they wish to learn how to master their finances, they should definitely join the tribe at Womoneysta. I hope you derive lots of value from this. Do share this as much as possible so that more and more people benefit from the learnings. Thank you! Happy trading and investing!

On this week's episode, I speak to Mr. Indrazith Shantharaj, a full-time trader, teacher and author of seven books. He is most well-known for his book 'How to make money with breakout trading' which was recently declared as the 3rd best-selling self-published e-book by Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). I've personally read this book and found it to be very helpful as it helped me distinguish genuine breakouts from the false ones. On this episode, we spoke about a variety of topics such as trading psychology, handling drawdowns, breakout trading, price action analysis, meditation and its benefits and more. There's tons of wisdom for everyone in this episode. Mr. Indrazith's years of experience in the stock market is surely worth learning from. It is said that experience is the best teacher. Let me add to that. A combination of learnings coming from your own experience plus the experience of others is even better. So, on this special episode, I have with me Mr. Nataraj Malavade. He is a full-time trader, mentor, teacher and author of the book 'Mastermind of day trading'. This is the first time a full-time trader has come on our show so it is a pretty special occasion. I gained a lot of real-life experience from him. Welcome to the second episode! I hope that you're liking my podcast!
This is my first solo episode. I decided to record this so that I could share the importance of psychology in trading. No matter what kind of trader you are, having the right mindset and knowledge about yourself is key to success. In this podcast, I discuss two of the most common trading mistakes that traders make. First is taking trades because they feel the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) and second one is not cutting their losses quickly once it is clear that their strategy has not worked out as expected. I have shared my personal experiences and explained how I also made these mistakes despite knowing about them. I have stressed on the importance of practical application versus having theoretical knowledge so that it becomes easier to understand. So, with that, I hope that you enjoy listening to this episode and learn from it! Happy trading and investing!
