Amy Forsythe is an award-winning military journalist, author, and public affairs officer whose career spans more than three decades across the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy Reserve. Originally from Santa Rosa, California, she joined the Marines in 1993 as a combat correspondent and went on to complete five combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan.
As an author, Amy published Heroes Live Here: A Tribute to Camp Pendleton Marines Since 9/11, a deeply personal and visual tribute to Marines who have served since the Global War on Terror.
In her civilian and veteran advocacy roles, she supports numerous nonprofit and veteran service organizations, serves on boards, and brings her leadership and narrative expertise to community and media forums.
