If you’ve never been in an executive level strategy meeting, it may be surprising what actually goes on. There’s an image that very senior leadership teams and self interested, and disconnected from the organisation - and that certainly happens - but some of these examples may be useful to know.

We have to be aware of how our personal leadership style effects those around us. From our behaviours, to communication style, understanding how your leadership style is received - how you’re viewed as a leader - is essential to make progress. If you want to be known as an amazing leader, the tools to build that leadership image may already be in your everyday life!

Can we improve our leadership image through understanding all of our identities? A bit of a thought experiment. We’re children, parents, hobbyists, community members, siblings, and we have an image of all these identities. Understanding those different identities, and how we shape our style within them, may instruct how we are perceived as a leader.
