Join us reading every verse of scripture in chronological order in the ●Holy Bible (KJV), ●Book of Mormon, ●Doctrine and Covenants, and ●Pearl of Great Price in 365 episodes. We'll cover the creation, the Fall, Exodus, patriarchs & prophets, Jesus Christ's atonement, his resurrection, the growth of his church, as well as end-times prophecies like gathering Israel, the Second Coming, and last judgment. Our podcast includes brief reflective comments and definitions. Scripture study strengthens faith, teaches the wisdom of moral relationships, and better prepares us to return to God. Come, listen to the word of the God. Along with the main readings, most readings includes a brief commentary explaining some item like the historical-cultural context, definitions of unusual words, the timeline, geography, authorship, theology, or other remarks. And most days include a question about applying the principles of those scriptures toward strengthening your faith in Christ, growing closer to God, or the best way to keep your covenants in today's challenging world. Our latter-day scriptures are a loving gift to us with a fascinating history. The gift of God's word teaches us that one of the ways He touches our own lives is by teaching us stories of how He touched the lives of some of His other children. We can learn from scripture that God loves us, and knows each one of us individually, and by name. If we listen, God can use the scriptures as one of His best tools to help us better prepare to return to His presence—something God is tirelessly working to have happen. The King James Bible (KJV) is used for most of the readings of the Bible in this podcast. However, Joseph Smith Jr was inspired to revise selected verses scattered throughout that Bible. Those inspired revisions are called the Joseph Smith Translation (JST). Where those verses occur, I will read the Joseph Smith Translation rather than the original King James Version of those Bible verses.
