This would be, to our knowledge, the first animated venture in the franchise. It also takes an approach different from previous installments, but they certainly seemed to be guided by the lessons of Prey the previous Predator entry. Tonight’s episode is dedicated to the memory of our friend Classy Thomas Clarke aka SpongeBob SquareBalls. About a month ago we lost our friend and, in many ways, a big part of our heart. He was Collecting Weekly family but also a Just Another Friday Night alumni so that made him our family too. We miss him and we will never forget him. Tonight, we discuss The Last of Us season 2 and boy was it a ride. Episode 2 may have collectively killed the series for many fans but what did you think? Fans of the game knew this was coming. It has also suffered being called “force woke” but fans of the series know that this is the characters as they are. AA’s son graduated so congrats Austin and that means guest hosts! We want to hear all your thoughts on the show!
“Rebellions are built on hope.” And after seeing the series finale we know they’re also built on the back of Luthen Rael, and Kleya Marki, and Lonni Jung and of course Mon Mothma and Cassian Andor. This season was damn near perfect gang and it just got better as it went along! It’s getting the critical acclaim and it’s getting the fans acclaim. Tony Gilroy delivered a masterpiece and the worthy predecessor to Rogue One. It breaks our hearts to say bye to this one but we’re here to give it its proper flowers and say goodbye to Andor but hello to bright burn of rebellion!
Andor IS back! The latest from Disney+ and Star Wars is the highly anticipated follow up season to the critically acclaimed original. Disney+ has told us that this is the final season of Andor and it makes sense as we are roughly 4 years out from the events of the Battle of Yavin. The Battle of Yavin refers to the events at the end of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. We also know that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is a direct lead in to A New Hope. Ambitiously this series has been dropping 3 episodes at a time, set about a year apart each. Tonight we’re looking at the first 9 eps we’ve gotten so far and there is a TON to unpack! Just when you think you couldn’t hate The Empire anymore Andor promises and delivers all new depths of loathing for Imperial scum!
The Devil is Alive! The Devil of Hells Kitchen that is and he’s bringing his rowdy friends to Friday Night!! Pegged by some to be a slower, more paced version than the Netflix series, Disney+ and Born Again found closed this one out strong! Jon Bernthal returns as The Punisher and Charlie Coxs’ Matt Murdock and Vincent D’onofrio’s Wilson Fisk seemingly give to their battle with duality. The audience are the winners as Daredevil and Kingpin emerge prepared to do battle! Without Double A tonight we needed a double dose of Devil expertise! We’ve got Marvelous Mike Beck & The Rad One Gerry D. to be the army CM Chuck needs to wage war on this episode!
On April 1 we lost American acting icon, Val Kilmer. We grew up watching him and to Us he’s one of the best to ever do it. He truly left his mark on film and he’s one we won’t ever forget. Roles like Doc Holliday, Jim Morrison, Iceman - are just a few of the iconic characters Kilmer came to embody. There are so many other roles to talk about though.
