Exposing the Voice of the Political Manipulator — A Conversation with DG Herbert

In this thought-provoking episode, I sit down with Daniel Gomagallah Herbert, author of the powerful new book “We Need You Poor So That We Can Rule: The Voice of the Political Manipulator.”

We explore:

• What inspired him to use satire as a lens to tackle the deeply serious issues of poverty and political manipulation.

• The systems he believes intentionally sustain poverty for political gain.

• And what kind of reaction or societal change he hopes to spark in readers — especially among young people and aspiring leaders.

Whether you’re passionate about politics, advocacy, or storytelling, this episode will challenge how you think about power and poverty in our society.

Problem of Waste - ROW

Waste management in Nigeria faces several challenges, including inadequate infrastructure for waste collection and disposal, insufficient funding and resources for waste management programs, lack of public awareness and education on proper waste disposal practices, indiscriminate dumping of waste in open spaces and water bodies, and limited enforcement of environmental regulations.

These issues contribute to environmental pollution, health hazards, and negative impacts on ecosystems and communities.

Joey Shekwonuzhibo & Christy Makut discussed these issues and how to mitigate them in our communities with Asibi Akwa Felicity, Monday Akubuokwu, and June Elsie.
