Mikołaj Molenda is the Co-founder and Co-CEO of Tylko. In 2015, together with four of his friends, he started Tylko—a custom furniture company with the ambition to use technology to revolutionize the furniture industry in Europe, while also bringing more harmony into people’s homes.
Mikołaj’s path has been anything but ordinary. From designing the Polish pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai Expo, to making a film about surfers in Mexico, to creating opera stage designs and eventually founding Tylko, he describes curiosity as the driving force behind it all.
In this episode, Mikołaj talks about restoring value in furniture, the role of teamwork and his advice for those looking to enter the furniture industry.
Jonasz Kulej is the Chief Product and Technology Officer at Tylko — a next-generation furniture company focused on improving homes through premium, customised storage solutions. With several hundred thousand customers, Tylko rarely shares what happens behind the scenes or just how much goes into offering truly personalised furniture at scale.
In this episode, Jonasz unpacks what product means at Tylko and how parametric design, user research and technology shape Tylko's product development process. He also shares his vision for the future of architectural and interior design.
