Tis the season! Austin and Clint revisit David Gordon Green and Danny McBride's trilogy of sequels to John Carpenter's seminal slasher. After fulfilling a prophecy they'd return to the world of podcasting, Clint and Austin are hungry. They stop-in at a diner where they encounter a Bruce Willis impersonator who, at first, seems friendly - that is, until Austin starts doing his James McAvoy impression. While Clint tries to pry the Willis impersonator away from throttling Austin, a mysterious figure records the whole thing. Welcome to round 2 of High on Hollywood!

Clint and Austin wake up in a pool in the Midwest with no memory of how they got there or why they're both wearing heavy ponchos. After Clint's partner, Lindsey, helps them escape, Austin receives a call from a director whose name rhymes with N. Kite Babylon - he shares a prophecy (aka a veiled threat): "High on Hollywood WILL return or the world must forever watch After Earth." Hearing that, Clint and Austin get to work immediately. N. Fight Shabbython's call sparks the idea to discuss Unbreakable (2000). Hilarity ensues.

In this episode, Austin and Clint take on The Avengers in their review of What If? Episode 3.

Austin and Clint uncover a conspiracy involving a Dairy Queen and bursts of Celestial energy. When they arrive, Kurt Russell invites them to sit at a booth where a mic and computer are waiting for them to record - along with an assortment of marijuana and related paraphernalia. They strike up a conversation about episode 2 of Marvel's "What If?". Hilarity ensues.

"Woah." Austin and Clint are ejected from the Matrix after they watch Clint's cat, Mittens, glitch through a wall. Despite having accidentally stumbled upon the truth of existence, Clint and Austin still eke out a little time to record a new episode of High on Hollywood before an impending onslaught of machines. Hilarity ensues.

With the MCU's Multiverse officially cracked open, Austin and Clint take a dive into Marvel's next Disney+ effort, "What If?".

In honour of the 25th Anniversary of the franchise, Austin and Clint sit down to watch and discuss the film that simultaneously blew kids’ minds and traumatized them in 1986 - Transformers: The Movie. No, not Transformers (2007) with Shia, Megan Fox, and a paycheque for Hugo Weaving. We’re talking OG, G1 era crazy, zany, comic book-y action paired with hard rock and Weird Al, with Orson Welles (in his final film role) and Leonard Nimoy to lend the film some real gravitas. Of course, who could forget Judd Nelson’s inspiring turn as Hot Rod?! What a performance (no sarcasm here)! Trust me, you’re not going to want to miss this one. Come on and get a little High on Hollywood, cause these Autobots are rolling out! “Till All Are One!”

After barely escaping the cataclysmic beginning of the multiversal war unfolding around us, Clint and Austin decide to take a load off and catch a new action flick. Their choice? Navot Papushado's "Gunpowder Milkshake" (2021) - a crazy genre film that pays homage to the endless wave of action-assassin films before it - all while attempting to carve out it's own quirky, over-the-top identity that *mostly* sticks. Sometimes it's nice to set down the existential dread and just get High on Hollywood. So what are you waiting for?!

The “man behind the curtain” is revealed. Klein Fleury and Anton Shambles realize that the error of their ways. Austin and Clint regain control of the show but things have changed - maybe, forever... the only way forward is ironically found at the end of time itself. Sounds like a good place to get High on Hollywood.

Klein (previously spelt "Cline") has Austin brainwashed into believing he is Clint. A mysterious force begins to reveal itself, pulling the strings of a far more sinister conspiracy. Has the multiverse finally begun to crack open or are we just really high… on Hollywood? One thing is certain: Klein and Austin cannot agree on this episode whatsoever.

Mobius' mustache finally grows on Austin... literally, and it won't come off for some reason. Clint suspects this mustachioed Austin could, in fact, be a Variant and calls the TVA to investigate (despite the fact that Austin willingly helped conceal Clint's Variant, Cline). Much to Clint's shock, however, HE is the Variant. A fight ensues. The result? A multiverse-wide Nexus Event. Clint and Cline escape. Austin is left to wonder if he'll ever shave again. Loki discovers himself. We're High................. oh, On Hollywood.

While Clint and I continue our review of Marvel's LOKI (2021), we also diverge into some speculation about what the future holds for the MCU and it's exploration or reinterpretation of characters we've seen before (i.e. the X-Men). Also, Clint bumps into his Variant, named Cline, and the two of them hitting it off sets in motion a chain of multiversal destruction hitherto unseen or dreamt of. We're gonna need all the luck we can get. Welcome to High on Hollywood!

Clint and Austin finally take a stab (*huehue*) at the Marvel Cinematic Universe starting with the first two episodes of Kate Herron's "Loki" (2021). As per usual, mischief and mayhem ensue.

After spending a week in a future where AI dominate the planet and have enslaved humanity, Austin and Clint decide to research a "historical document" to uncover a way to avert the robopocalypse. Enter... "The Mitchell's Vs. The Machines" (2021).

Would you break into a zombie-infested Las Vegas bank to secure a $50 million payload? Take on Zeus in Olympus? DEFY THE VERY GODS THEMSELVES?! Clint and Austin sit down to discuss what worked and what didn't in the film, Snyder's creative use of horror movie tropes, and how he presents a fascinating evolution of the zombie genre - all while paying homage to everything that has come before. Lights on! Austin blinks rapidly as the lights sting his eyes. Still groggy from the drugs, he takes a step. He stumbles. A cord is torn from the shotgun collar which is fastened around his neck. Austin can hear the unnerving sound of the cord winding and he immediately realizes what is happening. "I beat you!" Austin shouts angrily through blubbering tears. "I've beaten your game. What more do you want from me?!" More lights turn on to reveal Clint sitting on a tricycle dressed and painted up to look like Billy the Puppet: "That wasn't your test Austin. It was mine." The games continue and yet they've still only just begun...

Clint and Austin wake up in a bathroom that smells like the inside of a rotten whale carcass smothered in moldy butter then left to bake in the sun for three days before birds added their guano to it and a few dead fish fell inside the whale’s blowhole. A toy puppet appears out of the shadows and a voice seems to echo from it: “I want to play a game. In the Blu-Ray player before you sits the Saw Collection(™), encompassing the Saw franchise from Saw I to Saw: The Final Chapter. Watch every film in the series before Spiral: From the Book of Saw comes out on May 14th and you might just discover a way out of that bathroom. Otherwise, your location will remain a secret, your bodies will never be recovered nor will anyone hear you scream as you die a slow, oxygen-less death, and this bathroom will become your tomb. Austin and Clint begin having strange nightmares about an ancient civilization known as the Abkani. Christian Slater mysteriously appears to warn them of a rift in dimensions that only he can seal. Meanwhile, Uwe Boll (director of "Alone in the Dark" (2006)) secretly plots the comeuppance of our pot-smoking podcasters. Will the Abkani prophecy come true or was Christian Slater lying about that 'hieroglyph' in the KFC parking lot?
