We then introduce this episode’s advice for accountants, where Ben outlines the changes happening the financial reporting regime, particularly for “for profit entities” that lodge special purpose financial reports. These changes mean that most companies that reported to a corporate regulator are now required to prepare a General Purpose financial statement, which includes significant additional detail compared to the previously used Special Purpose reports.
