Bill Johnson and I have known each other for over 10 years. Through our work in ministry and publishing, we had the opportunity to meet each other’s wives on several occasions. Little did we know we’d walk a similar path of grief and loss a few years further down the road.
After a long battle with cancer, Bill’s wife Beni Johnson, went to be with Jesus on July 13, 2022. My wife Lynette Tabatt endured a 19-month battle with cancer and went to be with Jesus on March 17, 2024. They are both now fully alive and free.
In this conversation, Bill and I discuss some of the things we’ve learned along the way as we’ve respectively walked with God to recover and rebuild our lives following one of the most difficult grief journeys a man can face.
