This week on the Good Humans Podcast, I sit down with Mikel Nyholt — a high-performing executive at Usher Group, where he leads sales, marketing, and culture for a $100M+ business employing over 500 people. But behind his professional success lies an incredible story of burnout, resilience, and self-healing that will leave you inspired.
In his late 20s, Mikel’s life came crashing down. After years of pushing himself to the edge in business, he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) — told he’d need constant care, and even lost vision in one eye. But instead of accepting the bleak prognosis, Mikel chose a different path.
He turned inward, exploring the power of breathwork, mindset, and holistic healing, and seven years later his doctors are still blown away by his recovery and vitality.
In this powerful episode, we dive into:
✅ The personal and professional burnout that led to his MS diagnosis
✅ The moment he decided to take ownership of his healing journey
✅ How breathwork and nervous system regulation changed everything
✅ The role of purpose, balance, and mindset in sustainable success
✅ What he’s learned about leadership, health, and being truly alive
Mikel’s story is a masterclass in self-awareness and the courage to challenge conventional thinking. From corporate burnout to deep healing, his journey shows what’s possible when we stop living on autopilot and start taking responsibility for our wellbeing.

✅ The mindset and discipline behind becoming a world champion bodybuilder
✅ How he navigated being falsely accused and the emotional toll it took
✅ The lessons he learned about resilience, forgiveness, and identity

This week on the Good Humans Podcast I sit down with Belle Brockhoff — a trailblazer in Australian snowboarding and one of the toughest athletes I’ve ever met.
Belle has represented Australia at three Winter Olympics (Sochi 2014, PyeongChang 2018, Beijing 2022) and came agonisingly close to a medal, finishing 4th in Beijing. We dive deep into what it takes to reach the top of such a demanding sport, and the heartbreak of being just shy of the podium after years of sacrifice.
She opens up about the struggles with injuries that tested her resilience, and the importance of mental health in navigating the highs and lows of elite sport. Belle’s story is not only one of athletic achievement, but also of courage, vulnerability, and perspective.
In this episode we explore:
Belle’s honesty and grit will leave you inspired to chase your own goals and care for your mental health along the way.

This week on the Good Humans Podcast I sit down with Hugo Toovey — an Australian Army Major, cancer survivor, devoted husband, and proud dad.
Hugo’s story is nothing short of remarkable. Before the age of 30, he faced and survived both testicular cancer and bowel cancer, enduring countless surgeries and challenges that would have broken many. Yet through it all, Hugo has become a voice of hope, resilience, and proactive health.
He founded 25 Stay Alive, a charity dedicated to encouraging young people to prioritise their health and get regular checks — proving that cancer and serious illness don’t just happen “later in life.” Alongside his incredible wife and their young son, Hugo continues to live with courage and purpose, inspiring thousands to take responsibility for their wellbeing.
In this conversation we explore:
Hugo’s journey is a true testament to the power of the human spirit. His honesty and determination will leave you inspired to look after yourself — and never take life for granted.

This week on the Good Humans Podcast I sit down with Dr Anthea Todd — a Doctor of Physiotherapy, educator, and author who has become a leading voice in women’s health and holistic wellbeing.
You might know Anthea from her viral social media videos where she shares health tips while rolling on a skateboard, but behind the creative delivery is a wealth of knowledge grounded in years of study and practice. Anthea has just released her debut book, distilling everything she’s learned into a practical guide for better health.
In this episode we dive into her four fundamentals of health — nervous system, metabolism, nutrients, and blood sugars — and why getting these basics right can completely change the way you feel day to day.
We also explore her personal journey into physiotherapy, how she grew a powerful platform by making health education fun and accessible, and what it’s been like stepping into the world of authorship.

This week on the Good Humans Podcast I sit down with Davey Lloyd — a tradie turned reality TV personality who has lived through some of life’s highest highs and darkest lows.
You might recognise Davey from The Bachelor and other reality TV shows, but behind the cameras he was battling a hidden struggle that almost cost him his life. Davey opens up about his journey through drug addiction, the afternoon he was clinically dead and had to be resuscitated, and the turning point that led him to change everything.
Now 21 months sober, Davey is using his story to inspire others — especially in tradie culture where conversations around addiction, mental health, and vulnerability are often avoided. His honesty and courage shine a light on the realities of addiction, the power of resilience, and the possibility of change.
In this episode we dive into:
This conversation is raw, vulnerable, and deeply important. If you or someone you love has struggled with addiction, this episode will leave you with hope that recovery is always possible.

This week I sat down with Jian Wong Yen, the founder of Cold Nips and a true social entrepreneur who has built one of Australia’s largest and most inspiring wellness movements.
We dive into Jian’s upbringing and personal journey to creating a community that’s not just about cold water dips, but about connection, resilience, and fun. He opens up about the lessons he’s learned along the way, and how small actions can create big ripples in culture and wellbeing.
One of my favourite parts of this chat is when Jian shares the wild adventure he had with his girlfriend — hitchhiking across Europe for months on just 10 euros a day. The stories are hilarious, humbling, and remind us that joy and growth often come from living simply and saying yes to the unknown.
This episode is a mix of entrepreneurship, adventure, and community building — and it’s full of practical takeaways and entertaining stories that will leave you inspired to lean into life a little more.

This week’s episode is all about the raw, real, and often unpredictable journey of entrepreneurship. I’m joined by Tim O’Sullivan, the founder of two hugely successful lifestyle brands: Bae Juice, the Korean pear juice designed to prevent hangovers, and Andie, the tanning gummies making waves in the beauty and wellness space.

This is a conversation for anyone who’s ever thought about starting their own business — or just loves hearing the real stories behind the brands we see on the shelves. Tim’s journey is proof that entrepreneurship isn’t just about the product, it’s about the person who dares to bring it to life.
