67. Wrapping up Tess

Today we wrap up our discussion of our March book, Thomas Hardy's Tess of the D'Urbervilles. We loved rediscovering this classic text and spent two full episodes diving in. We also announce our April book which we are so excited about -- it is a big departure from Tess! And of course, our usual banter and life updates - join us!

65. Talking Tess: Phases One to Three

Today Sophie and I begin discussing our February and March book, Tess of the D'Urberville's by Thomas Hardy. This was a re-read for both of us and we were surprised at how relevant it still felt -- some themes will always resonate. There are no end of novel spoilers here - we only talked about the first 3 phases (about half the book) and will finish up at the end of March.

We also continue with our regular segments! It was so fun to get academic about this infamous text - join us!

55. Dark days and Puppy love

We had a lot to talk about today. Given the horrific events unfolding in Israel, it’s hard to know what to say. Sophie and I talked it through and she discussed how the terrorism is affecting life in the city.

Wiggins has now been in NYC for one month! Hear the highs and lows of puppyhood and apartment life, and why we both won't be choosing singing as a career...this will make sense at the end of the episode!

Fall reading is the best. Sophie just listened to one of the biggest books of the fall literary scene - hear what she has to say!
