IN CHRIST | Peace, Purpose & Power

2 Corinthians 5:17 [Amplified] "Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]."

In this episode, we dive deep into what it means to be "in Christ." Join us as we explore the profound and extensive concept of being in Christ, guided by the Holy Spirit. • The only hope of His glory and power being manifested in this world is through us.
  • We are called to suffer for Christ, and dying to self helps us endure.

WATCH YOUR MOUTH | Speaking with Kingdom Alignment

🌟 Ever wondered how powerful your words truly are? 💪🏼 In this episode, Monk & I (Macc) explore the profound impact of our speech on our lives and those around us.💫 We uncover how the tongue reflects our heart's condition. 💖 Our words reveal what is truly in our hearts, whether it's life-giving purity or destructive corruption. 📖 As Matthew 12:34-35 and Luke 6:45 remind us, "the mouth speaks what the heart is full of." 💞 We also delve into the dual nature of words. They can build up⬆️ or tear down⬇️. 📖 Ephesians 4:29 and Proverbs 12:18 guide us to speak words that edify, encourage, and uplift others, avoiding destructive speech that wounds and destroys.💥 Moreover, we discuss the power of the tongue to bless or curse. Choose to bless ✝️ rather than curse, recognizing that our words can either invoke God's blessing or invite curses, as highlighted in 📖 James 3:9-10 and Proverbs 18:21. ⚠️ Guarding our speech to reflect Christ is crucial‼️ Be intentional with your words, avoiding gossip, slander, and idle talk that misrepresent Christ. Align your words with God's will, His ways, and His Word, declaring His promises over your life and others. ❤️‍🔥✝️❤️‍🔥 🔥🚨 We’ve got to stand up to our flesh and start recognizing the power of words to influence spiritual and natural realities! 💯 Your words can influence circumstances, blessings, and spiritual atmospheres! 💪🏼💥 So, avoid speaking death through negativity and doubt, but choose faith-filled words aligned with God's truth. 📖✝️📖 🌎 As Monk mentions, we need to cultivate the normalization of speaking truth from a place of love. 🫶🏼🤲🏼 Develop a habit of speaking faith, hope, and love, which manifest God's kingdom realities. 🏆Remember, the power of life and death are a responsibility, which comes with the tongue. Strive to speak life consistently. 📣✅🫵🏼 Join us in this transformative journey as we learn to speak words that manifest God's blessings and disarm the enemy. Tune in now and let's align our speech with the Kingdom! 🙏✝️🔔 Don't miss out! Worship in the Waiting | Refined by Resilience | #jesus #renewyourmind #holyspirit #perseverance #discipleship #worship #spiritualgrowth #refiningfire

✝️🔓 Unlock the Power of Perseverance‼️🏆🫰🏼 Join us in this transformative episode as we delve into the profound insights shared by Pastor Jason Blanchard of Thriving House Church (listed as Show Notes below).✨ Discover how perseverance isn't just about enduring hardships but about praising God through every trial. ⛓️‍💥 From the inspiring story of Sarah, who worshipped through her chronic illness, to the unwavering faith of biblical heroes like Job and Joseph, this episode will uplift your spirit and strengthen your faith. ❤️‍🔥🙏 Tune in and be inspired to persevere with faith, hope, and love. 🙏Show Notes by Pastor Jason Blanchard of Thriving House Church, Port Arthur, TX:1. Perseverance isn’t passive—it’s praise in motion. The idea is, worshiping during the waiting. Think Paul and Silas in prison (Acts 16:25–26). Perseverance can look like singing while chained. In other words, what am I doing in the dark that proves I trust God for the light? 2. Sometimes the breakthrough isn’t the blessing—you becoming more like Christ is. People expect the result to be the miracle, but the real miracle is who we become through the waiting. (2 Corinthians 4:17)3. The silence of God doesn’t mean the absence of God. Job is a great example of this. He endured with no answers, yet God was watching and eventually responded. (Isaiah 50:10) 4. Faith doesn’t always shout. Sometimes it just stands still and stays. Perseverance cannot give in to fear when nothing is changing outwardly. (Exodus 14:13) 5. One of the tests of perseverance is obedience when there’s no applause. The story of Noah building the ark for 120 years without rain is a good example. 6. Joseph’s Story is all about perseverance. Betrayed, enslaved, falsely accused, imprisoned—for 13 years—yet never wavered. Joseph didn’t let prison define him—he let purpose refine him. 7. Hebrews 11: the Hall of Faith. You guys briefly mentioned it, y’all could go deeper. Some of the heroes didn’t even see the promise fulfilled but persevered in faith (v. 13, 39). Some of their praise in Hebrews 11 seems much different than the story of their lives. It shows that God chooses to remember our faithfulness not our failures or lack of faith. Sometimes faith is measured not by what you obtain, but what you endure. 8. Some things about perseverance: Perseverance is like spiritual muscle. You don’t grow it by comfort—you grow it under resistance. Waiting is not wasted when it's worship-filled. Faith is not just belief in spite of evidence—sometimes it's belief without any evidence. 9. The Fruit of Perseverance: James 5:10–11 talks about the perseverance of the prophets and Job. Compassion and maturity are fruits that often grow in perseverance.

2. Worship Brings Us Closer to God

Engaging in worship deepens our intimacy with God, enabling us to express love, gratitude, and adoration. (Psalm 95:6-7; Psalm 100:4-5) Through worship, we can experience God's presence and power in our lives. (Psalm 22:3; 2 Chronicles 5:13-14)

3. Worship Transforms Us

Worship has the transformative power to change our minds, hearts, and lives. (Romans 12:2; 2 Corinthians 3:18) It allows us to renew our minds and focus on God’s truth, facilitating spiritual growth and maturity. (Ephesians 4:23-24; Psalm 1:1-3; 2 Peter 3:18)

4. Worship Unites Us

Worship fosters unity and harmony among believers, helping us set aside differences and focus on our common love for God. (Psalm 133:1-3; Ephesians 4:3-6) It creates a sense of community and belonging within the body of Christ. (Galatians 3:28; Colossians 3:14; Hebrews 10:24-25)

5. Worship is a Form of Sacrifice

True worship requires us to sacrifice our time, energy, and resources, prioritizing God's kingdom over our own desires. (Romans 12:1; Psalm 96:8-9) It’s an expression of love and devotion to God, reflecting our commitment to Him. (Matthew 16:24-26; Luke 9:23-25; John 21:15-17)

6. Worship Involves Our Whole Being

Worship engages our emotions, intellect, and will, encompassing our body, soul, and spirit. (Psalm 103:1-5; 1 Corinthians 14:15) It allows us to experience a sense of wholeness and integration in our relationship with God. (1 Thessalonians 5:23; Psalm 16:9-10; Psalm 42:1-2, 11)

7. Worship is a Response to God's Love

Worship naturally flows as a response to God’s love and grace, acknowledging His blessings and provision. (Psalm 100:4-5; 1 John 4:19)It deepens our understanding and experience of God’s love. (Psalm 103:1-5; 2 Corinthians 9:15; Ephesians 3:16-19)

8. Worship Prepares Us for Heaven

Our worship on earth serves as a foretaste of the worship we will experience in heaven, helping us focus on eternal things. (Revelation 4:8-11; 5:9-14; Colossians 3:1-4) Worship cultivates a sense of anticipation and longing for our eternal home. (2 Corinthians 5:1-5; Philippians 1:20-21)

9. Worship is a Witness to Others

Worship serves as a powerful witness to non-believers and encourages fellow believers, showcasing our love and devotion to God. (1 Corinthians 14:24-25; Psalm 40:3) It visibly demonstrates what it means to follow Jesus Christ, inviting others to experience His love. (Matthew 5:14-16; John 13:34-35; 1 Peter 2:12; 3:15-16)

10. Worship is a Source of Strength and Comfort

In times of trial and hardship, worship becomes a source of strength and comfort, reminding us of God’s goodness and sovereignty. (Psalm 46:1-3; 2 Corinthians 1:3-4) Through worship, we can find peace and presence in the chaos of life, trusting that God is in control. (Psalm 23:4; Romans 8:28; Philippians 4:6-7; Isaiah 26:3)

A Classic Case Of Mistaken Identity

Welcome back to your favorite podcast!

Today, we're diving into a topic that's both profound and profoundly personal: our identity in Christ.

In a world which is constantly telling us who we are, who we should be, and what we're worth, it's easy to get caught up in the noise. We may find ourselves allowing our identity to be defined by our past mistakes, our current circumstances, or our possessions. We may seek validation from others, or even listen to the lies of the enemy, who seeks to steal our true identity and replace it with a false narrative.

This classic case of mistaken identity is all too common. We've been looking in all the wrong places for our true identity, which can only be found in the unchanging, unwavering truth of God's Word. As Christians, we know that we're more than just our struggles, our strengths, or our successes. We're more than just our earthly identities. We're children of the Most High God, adopted into His family, and given a new name, a new purpose, and a new destiny.

But accepting this inheritance and living out this destiny requires us to believe what God says about us, even when the world, our past, or our own doubts scream otherwise. It requires us to anchor our sense of self in the unshakeable truth of Scripture, and to let that truth transform us from the inside out.

In this episode, we'll explore what it means to find our identity in Christ, and why it's the key to fulfilling our destinies. We'll delve into the lies that seek to steal our true identity, and the truths that set us free. Join us as we discover the power of living in our true identity in Christ.

A Cult of Personality, When Loyalty Trumps Faith

Welcome back to Frontal Lobe, your favorite podcast! :-)

This month, we explore the intersection of faith and culture. In this episode, we'll be tackling a critical topic, which is both timely and timeless: the temptation to idolize political leaders and the importance of prioritizing our discipleship to Jesus Christ. In an era marked by deepening political divisions and increasingly fervent loyalty to party and leader, it's easy to get swept up in the fervor. We may find ourselves thinking, 'If only this person were in charge, everything would be okay.' But as Christians, we know that's a false promise. Our ultimate hope and salvation come from Jesus alone. When we elevate political leaders to a position of saviorhood, we risk creating a cult of personality. We begin to see them as the solution to our problems, rather than recognizing that true transformation comes from our relationship with Jesus. This can lead to a dangerous blurring of lines between faith and politics, where our loyalty to a leader or party trumps our loyalty to Christ. But what happens when that leader fails us? When their humanity is revealed, and they can't deliver on their promises? Where does that leave us? As Christians, we know that our ultimate allegiance belongs to Jesus, not to any earthly leader or ideology. Join us as we explore the dangers of political idolatry and the importance of keeping Jesus at the center of our lives. We'll discuss how to maintain a healthy perspective on politics while avoiding the temptation to elevate leaders to an unhealthy position in our hearts, one that they were never meant to occupy.

Enjoy today's show, as we delve into this critical conversation and discover the freedom that comes from prioritizing our discipleship to Jesus above all else.

Real Men Talk
What an honor it was to have the opportunity to interview podcast host and author, Anthony Curnutt. Here are a couple of quotes of his which really stood out to me during the interview. “When we come under absolute obedience to Jesus Christ, we are performing at our peak for our families, and for our churches, and for our communities.” Love it! Want next-level performance? Obey God. I hope “obey God” are the last words I utter on this planet. Then, Anthony brought up an interesting point. He noted that the Bible refers to Jesus as the Word more than once. And the Greek word used for “Word” there is “Logos”, which is where we get our word “logic”, which is literally the foundation of our very thinking. And to this end, Anthony said, “so the very foundation of our thinking should be in Jesus Christ”. I must say that this revelation is very motivating, and I’m so blessed that he shared this with us.  Thank you, Anthony! When he was talking about why he wrote the book in a way that every man can read and digest it, he said “I want to give the everyday guy a foundation, a framework in which to build upon, in a biblical sense, to become a biblical man. Not that they can mirror the book, but they can mirror Jesus”. Anthony’s humble response to the big things God is doing with this book is inspirational! And when I put him on the spot and asked him to put into one sentence exactly what he wants men to get out of his book overall, his sentence was not only insightful and discerning, but it was also a pleasant surprise. “Does my vision of masculinity line up biblically?” Wow! That says it all!  It’s amazing how such a short and simple sentence can be so profound! If the men in this country would perform some introspection to answer that question, the cultural moral of our entire society would greatly improve! Every aspect of our lives would be enhanced and enriched. What’s next for Mr. Curnutt?  Well, I’m excited to hear that he’s going to continue the Biblical Masculinity concept, this time focusing in on how to cultivate an environment of biblical masculinity. Here’s another quote: “Now that we have the framework, how do we pour into the next generation and the people around us?” He’s also working on a video study program with the Biblical Masculinity concept for the purpose of birthing men’s ministries inside of churches or for use in small group settings. So exciting! All these things, along with speaking engagements, 2 podcasts (yes, 2 of them), coaching for men, a job, a wife, and 6 (yes, 6) kids, make Anthony a very busy man. We’re so very blessed and honored that he took time out to be on our show and is allowing us to be a part of his amazing journey! And, of course, as always, the Monk had an astute quote I’d like to share with you as well. He said, “women don’t like passive men”. I can always count on the Monk to provide the most profound truth in every conversation! What would I do without you, Monk? I just hope your awesomeness rubs off on me! Lol Stop what you’re doing, go to Amazon.com and pick up a copy of Anthony’s book “Framework For Biblical Masculinity” today! You can also find a link on his website, www.realmenministries.us. And if you’d like to partner with Anthony and his ministry team, give him a shout at realmen@palaceofpraise.com and become a sponsor! It may be the most important thing you do today! Stay in touch with Anthony on all the social media platforms, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter! He would love to hear from you! Look for Anthony Curnutt or Real Men Ministries. And of course, don’t forget to check out his amazing podcasts, Real Men Talk and Without Apology, which are available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, or wherever you like to listen. You’re going to listen to something on the way to and from work. Try turning off the news and tuning into real men talking about a real God! #christianpodcast #walkinginfaith #biblicalmasculinity #discipleship #jesus #apologetics #servantleadership

Limits Of Science

If you Google "how has science helped humanity", you'll get a huge list of examples. Think about how convenient our lives are, how easy it is to hop in the car and talk hands-free to someone, while you're driving over, getting your email notifications along the way.

Buy your movie tickets online and scan the QR code at the door for a smooth transition to the snack line. Or just pull up your favorite movie app on your phone and cast it to your TV, so your whole family can enjoy it, assuming it's not already streaming on your go-to streaming app.

GPS, the internet, digital banking, the moon landing, our understanding of the universe itself, and much, much more... The examples are truly endless!

But when it comes to faith & walking with Christ, does science help..., or can it actually hinder...? See, I don't think science can answer the most existential questions in life, like "why do I exist?" "What is my purpose?" "What is my value?"

Some allow science to be somewhat of a religion to them. And that's dangerous! I mean..., if there isn't enough quantifiable scientific data to specify the parameters around moral values, then do I really need them?

If the hypotheses that my wife loves me as much as I love her isn't backed up by the scientific data, then maybe she doesn't. And the most dangerous frame of mind...

If the theory that there is an omnipotent God, who loves me unconditionally, isn't able to be quantified and measured by the instruments of man, then perhaps there is no God, and perhaps I'm not loved.

Perhaps I should allow my feelings to guide me, allow how I feel in the moment to define my identity, and assume my inherent value, based on the data at hand...

Despite the many advantages it has provided mankind, science has some obvious limitations. In this episode, we discuss THE DATA which proves it! Let's get into it!

Make sure to stop by some of our other platforms for additional, auxiliary content, like YouTube, where you can find the interactive "Praying For You" initiative every Monday, Wednesday, & Friday!

ALL NEW CHANGES & INTERACTIVE CONTENT

Transitions

1. Audio to Video:

  • "How Does Faith Grow?" is our first video podcast episode, and we are very excited! Please bear with us as we learn the ropes and get our video podcasting feet under us! :-)

2. Duration:

  • Our episodes will be much shorter, moving from an hour or so to 30 minutes or less (hopefully). Our hope is to give you an opportunity to listen/watch the entire episode in one sitting, without as much disruption to your daily life activities.

3. Frequency:

  • Instead of 1 episode per month, our new goal is to release an episode every week! Personally, I work 60 to (sometimes even) 90 hours per week at my regular job, so this is going to prove to be extremely challenging. But rest assured that I am committed and determined to do my absolute best to accomplish this mission!

Additional / Auxiliary Content

1. Macc & Me:

  • The Frontal Lobe Podcast YouTube channel now has a playlist called Macc & Me. There, you'll find some extra content, videos which aren't considered podcast episodes, like things that the Lord puts on my heart, along with the "Praying For You" videos.

2. Praying For You:

  • "Praying For You" is a new initiative I've started to do my small part in changing the world, and I'm hoping you'll join me! These are 1-minute videos, where I pray for people who have sent me prayer requests.
  • These are called SHORTS on YouTube and REELS on Instagram. I also post a link on Facebook each time. Please feel free to go interact and engage with any or all of these sites!
  • God wants to have a relationship with us. The best way to invite Him in and develop that relationship is with prayer. Would you agree that we all need prayer? If so, then doesn't it stand to reason that we all need to be praying for each other? If we aren't praying for each other, then who's going to pray for us?
  • If you need prayer, please don't hesitate to email me at Macc@FrontalLobePodcast.com. Tell me your name and the details of the situation you'd like me to pray for. If I pray for you online, you'll have all of my listeners agreeing with me in prayer for your situation. Many prefer I keep their circumstances private. Please know that I'm praying for you either way!
  • To help these videos reach others for agreement in prayer, we need engagement! So, please engage! Follow. Like. Comment. Share. And most importantly, please agree with me in prayer every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings!

3. Answered Prayers:

  • Starting today, we are going to take the last few minutes of each episode to share stories and testimonies about God's power being manifested in the lives of everyday people like you and me.
  • If you want your story to be shared with the world (13 countries so far), please send your testimonies of answered prayers to Macc@FrontalLobePodcast.com.
