Happy Holidays to all of you listeners. Today we talk about some of our favorite female vocalists. Dawn makes it clear who she loves with her choice of Chaka, Ms. Bee (the Birthday Girl) has Phyllis, Roger brings Stephanie into the discussion and Ali brings Ms. Natalie to the table. We tried to make this a Christmas song-focused episode but these ladies are way too powerful for that so we break the rules or should we say Dawn breaks the rules. We also play a song from one of our fans in Las Vegas. Finally, Ms. Bee closes the show out with a Phyllis Christmas medley. Happy New Year to all of our listeners thanks again for all of your support.

It's Ms. 🐝's Birthday and her turn to run the show. The Crew sits down to discuss 3 masters of the musical universe. The assignment, pick one of your favorite male vocalists. This task is not an easy one let alone picking only three songs. Ali has chosen Al Green, Dawn has chosen Donny Hathaway, and the Birthday Girl, Al Jarreau. Our question to the audience is, did Will Downing do a good job singing his version of Donny's "For All We Know? Do not forget that the playlist on Spotify has been posted.

The weather has changed and with that, comes "Wedding Season". Ali and the crew try to keep it to 4 songs a piece, little did we know how hard it would be...Let's just say we did not pick 4 songs a piece. Ali starts the conversation with what new music everyone is listening to and then he and the ladies attempt to find those wedding songs. Wedding, 1st Dance(Reception), Party, and Honeymoon are the categories and it was hard to pick one for each. Please check the Spotify playlist, each episode has a playlist that goes with the episode. In this episode, Dawn starts us off with a little talk about a surprise discovery from Silk Sonic, the "Dynamic Duo's" remake of the Confunction classic, "Love's Train" . The crew then sits down to talk about some of their favorite bands. The world is filled with lots of great bands way too many for a single episode so we pick two apiece to start. Dawn loves The Police and Heatwave. Ms. B. has the ever-popular band WAR and the world-famous Isley Brothers. Ali shares his love for Steely Dan and his love for Heatwave too. This will be the first but indeed not the last "Favorite Band" episode.
We wanted to call this episode "The Valentine's Day Massacre" as Ali had sound issues with the original episode 3 now Ep.7. The Crew welcomes back Master T. a Barry White tribute artist who personifies Barry White. We talk about our favorite songs from the "Mistro", we go deep with Master T. to understand his journey to becoming a tribute artist. We talk about some of our favorites, including "Waiting to Exhale" Ms. B's favorite, Dawn breaks down the ever-popular "Saturday Night Fever", and Ali talks about another classic Curtis Mayfield's "Superfly". It is said that "Music is the soundtrack of our lives" and in this episode, we talk about how these movies and songs marked times in our lives.
We start by sharing some thoughts about the Janet Jackson documentary. From there we go into 3 songs by artist/groups that we feel don't get the recognition they deserve. Then Dawn and Ms.B battle one song apiece, the artist in question? Ms. Patti LaBelle! Who wins? Ali is the judge.
