Geno Smith, Ken Walker, and DK Metcalf showed America how effective this offense can be. Mike Macdonald had his first bout of growing pains, playing without Mafe, Byron Murphy, Leonard Williams, Uchena, and Baker, struggling without 5 of his starting front 7. Witherspoon, Woolen, Love, and Jenkins struggled against a talented offense. The officiating played a role as well. The Seahawks face the New York Giant next, without Malik Nabers and Devin Singletary, and there's no reason for them to lose.
The Washington Huskies lose to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights 21-18, in a game where Grady Gross missed 3 of 4 kicks. Will Rogers, Denzel Boston, and Jonah Coleman continue to be a fantastic trio. The offense line looks good, as do Jeremiah Hunter, Giles Jackson and Cam Davis. The defense played well collectively in spots, despite some disappointing individual efforts. They face the Michigan Wolverines next in a NCAA National Championship rematch...and the Hukies need a win in the worst way if they hope to keep their playoff (let alone bowl) hopes alive.

The undefeated Seattle Seahawks take on another opponent, this time the shorthanded Miami Dolphins without Tua Tagovailoa. Mike McDaniel devised an offense around Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and De'Von Achane. Chris Grier has some explaining to do because this was not very competitive. Mike Macdonald and Ryan Grubb put together great gameplans that came together in the 1st and 4th quarters. Geno Smith looked acceptable, throwing to DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and JSN, while Jalen Ramsey was a non-factor on defense. Meanwhile, Zach Charbonnet filled in admirably for Ken Walker. Charles Cross had some hiccups but still ranks amongst the best linemen in PFF. On defense, while Leonard Williams and Byron Murphy left with injury, and Jerome Baker already out, the defensive backs Tariq Woolen, Devon Witherspoon, Julian Love, and Rayshawn Jenkins clamped the Dolphins offense. Tyrel Dodson held it down at linebacker, and the pass rush of Derick Hall and Boye Mafe continue to really improve. Next up for the Seahawks is Aiden Hutchinson, Jared Goff, Jahmyr Gibbs, Jameson Williams, Amon-Ra St Brown, David Montgomery and the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football at Ford Field, which promises to be their toughest test yet this season.

Jedd Fisch and Brennan Carroll had questionable moments in offensive playcalling, but did enough to get the win. The undefeated Rutgers Scarlet Knights are next, followed by the Michigan Wolverines, in what will be big Big Ten tests in primetime that'll test their resolve in this 2024 NCAA College Football season in their pursuit of the FBS Playoff.

Seattle Seahawks began the Mike McDonald and Ryan Grubb era with a 26-20 win over Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos. It was an ugly start for Geno Smith, DK Metcalf, and the offense. However Boye Mafe, Tyrel Dodson, Julian Love, Leonard Williams, Tariq Woolen, Rayshawn Jenkins, Devon Witherspoon, Jerome Baker, Derrick Hall all had their moments in shoring up the defense. Perhaps the biggest shame is most of the world will never know the 2023 Washington Huskies football team the way Huskies fans knew them. They'll never know how good this team truly was. Michael Penix had his most inefficient game of the season, as did Rome Odunze, Ja'Lynn Polk, Jalen MicMillan, Dillon Johnson, the offense line, Kalen DeBoer, and Ryan Grubb...and that's what the world will remember. Congratulations to Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines. Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards had big games, and JJ McCarthy ran for a first down when it counted most. Shout out to the officiating on that phantom hold call to negate the big Rome Odunze catch and prevent a Husky comeback when it was 20-13, and the ESPN broadcast that were smitten with Michigan's star-studded box graced by Michael Jordan, Derek Jeter, and Stephen A Smith, and all the heartwarming Michigan stories that so outweighed anything Washington could offer that they didn't bother showing the other side. Geno Smith threw another interception on an out route, one he should no longer throw. Dak Prescott connected with Ceedee Lamb and Jake Ferguson 20 times for 200 yards. DK Metcalf gave everyone a glimpse of his potential to be the best wide receiver in the league with 134 yards and 3 touchdowns. Jaxon Smith Njigba caught 7 balls and could've had 8 and a TD if not for overly litigious officials. Daron Bland had another pick, Micah Parsons had a bunch of pressures as the passing scheme blew up for Seattle in the 4th quarter and blocking scheme made no sense. Geno you must throw the ball up on 4th down, my goodness. Quandre Diggs missed a bunch of tackles. Jarran Reed is having a renaissance. Leonard Williams is starting to play well. Jason Myers was the MVP until the last play of the game when Shane Waldron and the unimaginative offense begged him to bail them out with a 3rd 50+ yard field goal. The innovative Sean McVay continues to the ancient Pete Carroll, having beat him 10 times now. Geno Smith gained many people's respect after returning from a brutal injury at the hands of Aaron Donald and leading the team into field goal range with a DK Metcalf connection at the end of the 4th quarter. Ken Walker was injured early, but Zach Charbonnet played admirably. JSN, Lockett, and Bobo all played key roles as well. Cooper Kupp was injured early for the Rams but it didn't matter since Puka Nacua is basically the same player, and Matt Stafford evades sacks against the Seahawks like a damn wizard. The Washington Huskies defeat the Utah Utes 35-28 in a tale of two halves. The defense had one of the worst first halves in the history of college football (hyperbole but barely) and shut out Bryson Barnes, Kyle Whittingham, and the Utes in the second half (no thanks to one of the worst plays in Husky history by Tuputala). Michael Penix had another Heisman worthy game with 300+ yards and 2 TDs in rain and wind on a quintessential Seattle November afternoon. Elijah Jackson struggled with tackling, Jabbar Muhammad was mostly absent, but the other 2 defensive backs in Dominique Hampton and Vincent Nunley stepped up and made important plays in important moments. Ulofoshio and Carson Bruener had adequate games, ZTF and Bralen Trice applied some pressure but couldn't get to the QB. Rome Odunze and Dillon Johnson led the offensive playmakers, while Polk, Westover, Germie Bernard make some big plays. Devin Culp had an off night but that play he made against the USC Trojans gives him some leeway.
