On this one, I fumble through the importance of focus, exercise, and awareness on one's mental health. the act of taking action to pull one's self into a better mood is what I call mental hygiene.

#23 We rationalize the reality we experience / Take actions to minimize contention between you and friends and/or work. (Solo)

On this one, I discussed studies that illustrate that we rationalize all of the decisions we make and the reality we experience. In the second half, I go over the importance of taking steps to minimize the contention that could build up between you and friends or you and your work environment.

Just wanted to check in and give a good idea of what to expect from the future of epsilon. I got a little into the history and motivations of this project and explored the benefits if more people entertained similar projects. Thanks for listening!

#21 Social organization (The Pie) / Zoos and conservation / Human experience and travel/ Posting on social media and one’s personal brand. (Feat. Kayla)

In this one, we talked about how friends are vaguely like pieces of pie. With each person having a unique collection of interests and hobbies, they represent a particular flavor of pie that will fit in perfectly with the social group that is being developed. We briefly discussed the approach to being responsible or not responsible for how people react to things you tell them. In the second half, we discussed animals and zoos, and conservation. We also discussed the paradox of wanting to experience cool places but not wanting said places to become mainstream and then slowly destroyed by too much tourism. We finished off this episode with a brief discussion on posting on social media and how it plays a role in developing and maintaining your personal brand and relevance on a social level.

#20 Why certain philosophers were remembered / sexual preference and what’s “natural” (Feat. TJ)
Started off with a discussion on why certain philosophers were remembered. I would love to expand that to people getting famous in general in another one. The ending (When we talk about sexual preference and what’s “natural”) is great.

#19 Non-aggression anarchy / Free markets / Cryptocurrency 101 (feat. Jim)

Jim and I discuss everything (most things) from anarchy based on the non-aggression principle to monopolies and pollution in the free market. In this episode, we end on the fundamentals and some technical aspects of cryptocurrencies and blockchain. We covered a lot in this one and I'd love to have a round 2 where we delve into the philosophy behind a lot of these values.

#18 Time management and the benefits of mushrooms among other things (Feat. Jaimee)

This was probably the closest to comedy this podcast has gotten. Jaimee was great even though she’s delusional about meeting Carl Sagan.

#17 The relationship between the rich and the poor. (Feat. Tyler)

This podcast jumped around quite a bit at the beginning. We touched on different countries rebelling against Invaders including Ireland and Vietnam. We talked about the media and a few other random topics. It's all good, but I really enjoyed the second half when we started to discuss the relationship between the rich and the poor and lightly touched on group dynamics and decision making. Thanks again Tyler for joining me.

Great conversation with my friend Cole. We discussed a possible way out of depression or at least out of old cycles. Touched on the ego and stoicism and religion probably came up once or twice in the conversation.

This is a long one, but a good one. We talk about religion. I'm not religious, so that was interesting. There are a lop of things i would love to expand on and address but it will have to wait till the next podcast i do with Scott and Jeff.

#10: On travel, what we get value from, and a splash of Deepfake.

One of my favorite ones so far with a great guest. We talk briefly about why we travel and the importance of it. Then, we proceed to go off on tangents ranging from what we get value from, how online comparison can be misleading and how Deepfakes could be helpful.
