Proverbs 23:7 says as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he…
Each thought is a little seed that we are planting, but not every thought should stay planted. Join me as we look at how our mind processes thoughts and then how to change our thought patterns by examining meditating on God’s Word, renewing our minds, and tearing down strongholds. We may not control everything that flies into our head, but we certainly choose what remains. Let’s look at taking control of our thoughts and how getting control of our thoughts helps us get control of our lives.
As we start a new series on the podcast, called seeds and seasons, we will be exploring the various seeds that we sow in our lives on a daily basis. After recently, starting a Bible study for women, I decided that the teachings for that study would be great for all moms, so you guys get to come along with me as we dive deeper into the topic of sowing seeds in our lives and helping sow seeds in the lives of our children.
Galatians 6:7-9 says, “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
Join me as I share some of the verses put to song that I learned growing up. Putting the Word to song is such an amazing way to remember it. Also, children learn songs so quickly and easily why not use that to teach them the most important thing...the Bible! Hope you enjoy singing along with me as I go through some of the verses that I learned growing up and new ones I continue to learn. Play it in the car, while cleaning, during lunch time, and you and your kids will be amazed how quickly these verses begin to stick in your minds.
If you have any verses put to song, please send me a voice recording on Instagram @gilbertjmama. I would love to teach them to my kids, and do another verse sing-along episode adding any new ones I get from you guys. Enjoy and share it with a friend!
As mentioned in a previous episode, I am reading 12 books this year, one per month, and the book I read for February was Healing the Sick by T.L. Osborn. I highly recommend getting a copy of this book. Don't be discouraged by the length, he breaks it up into bite-size pieces that are easy to read in small time chunks. It is a great resource to have on hand because it is chalked full of verses from the Bible that will encourage you and build your faith. It is worth the time investment to read this book. Enjoy this episode where I share little bits and pieces from Healing the Sick by T.L. Osborn.

Enjoy a book review of Boyhood and Beyond by Bob Schultz. This book is addressed to boys and goes through many godly characteristics that boys should develop as they grow into men of God. If you are a mom of girls, don't skip over this episode. It's still worth a listen because these qualities can easily be applied to girls as well. I recommend it as a good easy-to-read, family-friendly book. It's short chapters will grab and hold your interest until the very end. Happy reading!
