In this episode, we embark on an extraordinary experience with a naturalist to uncover the secrets of the Khmira forests in northern Tunisia. We join Mr. Ridha Aouni on a short nighttime walk ‘n’ talk through the dense woodland, where fieldwork meets a passion for the environment and biodiversity.
We explore the nocturnal creatures inhabiting the forest, such as bats, wolves, and wild boars, and discover the vital role scientific research plays in preserving this natural heritage.
We also pause to examine unique efforts to reintroduce endangered species and discuss some of the challenges scientists face in balancing sustainable development with maintaining ecological equilibrium.
