I had such a great night in my former home town of Portland recently playing this late summer set at The Get Down for BRÜT. Feeling post-Burning Man inspired, I delivered a set that's truly emblematic of where my sound is heading these days. (more similar to what you heard in my PTown/Gifford House set back in July)Learning the art of opening takes years and the first hour of this set is a true warm-up to welcome the crowd and slowly start filling the dance floor. DJ's should never start the night at an 11 and I have great honor & respect for the slow build and the long journey; music that weaves and tells a story over the course of the night. You'll hear a transition about an hour in when the crowd starts to usher in and the night really begins. From there on out, it's 90-minutes of tech house heaven.I've been going a bit acapella crazy recently and this night was no exception. I had a lot of fun playing several tracks for the first time including Adam Ten's "Just Kidding" (layering Shawnee Taylor's "Live Your Life" vocals over), N2N's new track "Naked," Vinter's "Space Pump," BLOND:ISH's new "Don't Cha" remix from The Pussycat Dolls, and my friend Simon Harrison's new original "Find Me On The Dance Floor" (also with a special acapella layered over!)I hope you enjoy this set... please repost, share, and say something in the comments if you do!

It's been a hot boy summer and there was certainly no exception last month at BUNKER in DC for its BURNING UP Disco Party! I always love playing for my friends at BUNKER and I had so much fun putting this set together - I think there are at least 5 different tracks in here sampling "Love Sensation"! (so see if you can find 'em all!.... plus, there's "Burning Up" tracks from Cevin Fisher, Kylie Minogue... if that burning sensation is involved, you're gonna hear it here!)... this set is a 5-1/2 journey, with things moving from warm-up into high-energy party mode at around the 75-min mark. The "hot stuff" from Part 2 will be coming next week!

"I want to show you what I'm capable of..." - CamisraThis night demonstrates a very different side of me... it's pretty rare that I play a peak hour tech house set and I'm thrilled with how this one turned out. You're either gonna think it's the best set I've ever played... or just feel that it's not what you expected from me. Either way... I'm super proud of it. Put it on at the afties (lock the doors, lower the blinds, fire up the smoke machine... you know what to do!)...and go to work.Despite the thunderstorm at the start of the night, the crowd in Provincetown turned out strong on the night before the 4th of July. A major thanks to Steve Azar, Mike Akerman, and Matt Acevedo for taking such good care of me and welcoming me to Gifford House & Purgatory for the first time! Chris Cruse was a hard act to follow from the night before, but I hope I did the town proper.For those who read my long-winded captions to the end, thank you for indulging me. Get ready for Part 2 of my set from The Cuff on June 29th at Seattle Pride. This is the back half of my closing set on Sunday night with the most wonderful crowd a DJ could ask for. I took a bit of a risk by ending the night with the full 1998 Extended Pride Remix by Junior Vasquez of Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors" - this remix has meant so much to me over the years, but I've never played it live. With Cyndi's farewell tour happening this summer, it felt like the right moment. The remix starts out high energy before slowing down tempo and dropping into the original song, before building back up again to its crazed crescendo... it gives folks that romantic moment at the end of the night to slow dance and reflect on what Pride might mean to them. It's a moment that always resonated powerfully with me when I heard this track on many NYC Pride weekends and I wanted to share this moment - a part of Junior's legacy (the set also features his "Rocketman" Arena anthem) - with a new generation.  And then, of course, the set ends with the ending track of all ending tracks... as the last dance of the night. Next up... my full set from Purgatory at Gifford House in Provincetown on July 3rd!

It's been a whirlwind past few weeks and I'm finally getting around to posting some of my sets! Things kicked off for me back on June 29th at The Cuff for Seattle Pride. I played the closing set on Sunday night and the crowd could not have been more amazing! Thank you so much to the amazing Cuff staff (especially Alfonso Tan, who organized all of this year's incredible talent!), as well as all of the other incredible DJs on this year's lineup. It's always the biggest honor to play in my home town, especially on Pride weekend. Soon to come... Hey y’all! Spring is springing in the Northern Hemisphere, and I’m excited to share this special new promo podcast with all of you… a full two-hour set of high-energy house music. I’m honored to be playing Saturday, April 5th, at HERETIC in Atlanta, for the incredible non-profit, JOINING HEARTS. Founded in 1987, Joining Hearts, a 501c3 organization, began as a group of friends raising funds to help a loved one with HIV/AIDS stay in their home. Recognizing the growing need, they turned their efforts into an annual event, supporting Atlanta-based organizations dedicated to HIV/AIDS care. Over time, as medical advances and community needs evolved, Joining Hearts expanded its mission beyond housing to include care and prevention, amplifying its impact across Atlanta. Now more than ever, non-profits like JOINING HEARTS need our support. As current U.S. elected officials continue their campaign of cruelty to defund HIV-prevention efforts, the LGBTQ+ community is more vulnerable than ever. Most at risk are LGBTQ youth and the transgender community, and funds raised by JOINING HEARTS go directly to grassroots organizations on the ground that provide life-saving services and health care. But for all the pop girlie connoisseurs out there, it bops along summin' fun! Also, I haven't been able to get the new Avicii documentary, "Avicii - I'm Tim," out of my head since watching it last month. So, this set opens and closes with a little tribute to him. I rarely get a chance to stretch my after-hours musical muscles. I’ve probably played about 10 GUAPO PV events in Puerto Vallarta over the past 5 years but haven’t yet posted one of my sets from here in Mexico. This one, however, felt special. (full disclosure: last year’s NYE set didn’t record due to a technical glitch)… but this set is me at my best… I am very proud of it. I put a lot of thought into all of my sets, especially for the JUICY and DEEP parties I’ve played in PV the last two years and I’m so excited to share this 3 hr+ one with the world. It’s mostly a tech house set and the energy I got from the crowd all night was unparalleled. I saw so many wonderful friends out there all night as I looked around. If there was a main theme for the night’s journey, it was my trademark sound of going “a little bit old school”... l always love sharing classics with the younger generation. You’ll hear tracks (some, the originals… others, updates) like David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” and Danny Tenaglia’s “Elements” (both in my Intro), Honey Dijon’s update of Kevin Aviance’s “Cunty,” Technotronic’s “Pump Up The Jam,” Alesso’s new update on “Owner Of A Lonely Heart” by Yes, Size 9’s “I Am Ready,” my PV update that I’ve played the past few years of Sweet Pussy Pauline’s “Work This Pussy,” Butch’s “No Worries,” Submission’s “Women Beat Their Men,” Basement Jaxx’s “Fly Life,” two versions mixed of Shakedown’s “At Night,” Peter Rauhofer’s classic “Miracle Mix” of Mariah’s “We Belong Together,” (a remix I only save for very special occasions) - samples of Aretha, Lauryn Hill, Missy Elliott, Alanis Morissette, Natasha Bedingfield, Vicki Sue Robinson, Kiss - and two songs from The Beatles (I’ll let “which two” be a surprise as you listen). There are more classics sprinkled throughout, as well as 5 or 6 of my own remixes or private edits.Another theme on this journey was “loneliness” - a feeling I battled hard in 2024, as so many of us have - and that many DJ friends struggle with. It's especially in the zeitgeist with the new Avicii documentary, "I'm Tim," that just came out on Netflix. This set is a reminder that music can always be there to carry us through and that none of us is ever truly alone.As the sun was rising from 7:30-8am, I switched gears to deliver a little magic for everyone who stayed ‘til the end. I ended my set (well, the 2nd to last song) with a new little edit I whipped up over the past two weeks of “Defying Gravity.” (which I’m still tinkering around with)... and the crowd reaction truly was everything I’d hoped for in that morning moment. Thank you to the entire GUAPO PV team for having me back again. Whoever first thought to take the sounds of gospel and add a beat underneath (I’m just gonna go ahead and credit the iconic Frankie Knuckles) must have been one of the greatest pioneers of house music of all time. Frankie once said that clubs are “like church... by the time the preacher gets going, the whole room becomes one.” House lovers often refer to the dance floor as church. And some of the most joyous moments I’ve experienced at a club have been courtesy of gospel house. I vividly remember going to Twilo and Body & Soul in the late-’90s and hearing tracks for the first time from Sounds of Blackness, Jasper Street Co., Su Su Bobien, Vernessa Mitchell, Barbara Tucker, and Kim English that completely changed my outlook towards music. I’ve been meaning to put together a gospel house mix for quite some time now (ever since playing a full gospel house set at the Church of Now at Burning Man in 2019), and a recent trip this holiday season to Portland to hear the Northwest Community Gospel Chorus gave me the inspiration that I finally needed. So, rather than your typical house, tech house, or disco set, here’s 90 minutes (I could have easily made this 5 hours!) of pure praise for the lord - a dance floor journey of uplifting and soulful calls for love and redemption. There are classics here interspersed with brand-new tracks from this year, with reinterpretations sprinkled throughout. Fall is almost here in the U.S. and it felt like time for a new podcast! First, I am so grateful to everyone who helped me recently cross 5,000 followers on Soundcloud. Please enjoy Part 3 - the final 80-minutes - of my 5-hour daytime set at the Crown & Anchor in Provincetown this year over 4th of July week. As I alluded to earlier in my Part 2 notes, this final section is a wild ride! I basically was just like, "f-ck it" and threw whatever I was feeling in the moment against the wall. (especially the last 25-minutes!!)... of course, this usually makes for the best moments.There are quite a few classics in here - "Charlie Brown" (Dave Audé's Coldplay remix), "Heartbreaker/If You Should Ever Be Lonely" (Junior's full 10+ minute anthem!), my own remixes of "Pink Pony Club" (Chappell Roan) and "Love Lift Me Up" (Debby Holiday), and (if you know me) my trademark homage to Hex Hector with his (full-length!) remix of Faith Hill's "Breathe."You'll either love these 80-minutes of music... or wonder "WTF was he thinking?!" ... either way, it's pure me.
