Maybe because we didn't have much experience with it prior but JC and Rod didn't expect a series so filled with callbacks to earlier episodes and solid payoffs. At the halfway mark of the season/series, Magneto makes his big move and we get some awesome character moments and fight scenes with basically everyone. Totally understandable why this is one of the top rated episodes of the series.

Per X-Men animation tradition, Wolverine needs some memory loss tied to flashbacks and a trip to Canada where he crosses paths with an old teammate and a fight breaks out. Unfortunately, this episode counters the (spoiler-y) director's canon we were following about Sabretooth being offed in Hulk vs. Wolverine being in this same timeline. But on the plus side, more Department H and, more importantly, we get a solid design on Sabretooth.

Despite what IMDb told us that last week's bonus episode for the Hulk vs. Wolverine movie being inspired by Incredible Hulk Issue 181, this episode actually more closely follows Wolverine's debut issue. While it definitely takes some creative license, this encounter between Logan, Banner and the Wendigo hits that classic vibe for us (and has a more satisfying ending than the straight to home video movie did).
