Every move of God has a story. In each story, the Spirit of God works in ways that are both similar and unique. By looking at the tales of revival in Scripture, we can grasp what God may be wanting to do in our midst today.

What does God have to say to a church celebrating 75 years as a community of faith in the city? It might not be what you expect.

Most, if not all, of us want to see God pour out his Spirit in our day. But not many of us arent willing to pay attention to the place where revival begins: our hearts. Yet, God says that is exactly what we need to do.

To want revival is one thing; to give yourself to the journey to get there is another. In this teaching, we look at the postures and practices that work together to create the conditions for a move of Gods Spirit.

The time is now to contend for God to move in our time. But in order for the church to contend for a move of , it must take up the cry of revival and call on God to keep his promises. Using the Exodus story, we investigate what this looks like and how we can get involved as the church of Jesus.

As Central Heights turns 75, we celebrate Gods faithfulness and give thanks for all he has done. Yet milestone is not the finish line, but a new beginning. God is still at work, and Isaiah 61 invites us to join Him in whats next.

This sermon reflects on Jesus parable of the great banquet in Luke 14:1524, showing how Gods invitation to His kingdom is open to all, yet many miss it by making excuses. As followers of Christ, we are called to move beyond excuses, accept the invitation fully, and be compelled by His love to invite others to the table of Gods kingdom.

Turns out Zacchaeus stature is not the most important part of the story. When we look at what the story of Zacchaeus reveals, we see important details to what Jesus upside down kingdom looks like.

When we welcome the vulnerable, we are encountering the saviour of the world who brings healing to our hearts.

Life is full of difficult conversations. Jesus had to have more than a few of them. As apprentices of his, what can we learn from his approach with Peter over breakfast on the beach?

God wants to have dinner with you. That idea might seem strange because we cant actually see God but for some reason The table or a meal is the common descriptor for a meeting place with God. It represents setting aside time to be present with the Father and turns out its essential to being a follower of Jesus, yet it seems to be the first thing we set aside in the busyness of life.

At a moment where people are thirsting for something more, the Spirit of God is calling us back to the ancient message called the Gospel. When it comes to the gift of prophecy, we are mostly uninformed, unfamiliar, even suspicious. Part of the problem is we dont have a biblical vision for prophecy and its practice in the community of Jesus. If we were to recapture this important expression of the Holy Spirit and see it come alive in the church today, what would it look like practically?

One of the clearest gaps between the New Testament church and the church today is seen through the gift of prophecy. Whereas it was recognized then as one of the most important expressions of the Spirit of God, today has been swept up in skepticism, apathy, pain, division, or even abuse. What might it look like to return to the vision of prophecy as found in Scripture?
