Campfire Crime Chronicles
Episode 39 - Who killed the Snowbirds?
Everyone knows Fl to be the retirement state because everyone moves down to the sunshine state for the warmer climate and the shorelines and the retirement spots. There’s another type of people though that travel to the sunshine state; an no it’s not tourists. They’re just kind of always here year round although we do have typical 2 month break after new years and before spring break at the end of March that tourists slow down.

The kind of people I’m talking about though are Snowbirds. Snowbirds live somewhere else in the country, typically in the northerner states that get cold and usually typically see snow in the winter, and they travel to Florida for the winter. Depending on the snowbirds, most of them are retired, and all their kids are grown and grandkids are older, will determine when they come down. Some I’ve seen in the beginning and middle of November, some more travel down between Turkey Day and Xmas. Then after Xmas, by new years definitely is when the rest of them make their way down and they stay until about March or April and then Begin heading back north.

Welcome back to the campfire, grab your s’mores, and grab a seat around the fire. Thanks for joining me tonight at the campfire, where we discuss the dark world of true crime. This is the Campfire Crime Chronicles, a true crime podcast, and this, is the case, of the Snowbird Murders.

Campfire Crime Chronicles
Ep 38 - Murder in a Small NJ town
Randolph NJ, July 2005. 16 yr old Jennifer Parks goes over to her neighbors house to hang out and watch some late night tv on a Friday night into the early hours of Saturday morning.  Later that morning on Saturday, her mother goes to look for her in her bedroom and doesn’t find her, her bed not even slept in.

Meanwhile, young Jennifer parks would be found not far from her home at all. Randolph, a township of 25,000 residents would recount that they couldn’t remember a murder in the past 2 decades, and would be shaken from the events that would unravel in a town, not far from where I grew up in Long Valley.

Happy New year, and Welcome back to the campfire, I hope everyone out there had a good holiday season and embracing for old man winter; grab your s’mores, and grab a seat as the fire is burning a little higher and little hotter on this chilly January night. Campfire Crime Chronicles
Episode 29 - A Christmas Murder: Innocent of Guilty
This Christmas eve is anything from Merry. A furniture store has 4 murders, 1 surviving victim or 1 survivor claiming to be the victim of an attempted robbery gone wrong. A gas station across the street is also robbed hours after the furniture store murders take place which plays a small part in this case, but doesn’t have the spot light.

So on Christmas eve 1975, Tommy Ziegler is charged, convicted and sentenced to death for the 4 murders of his wife, his in-laws, and a customer of his furniture store. So the end, right? We can all continue to drive to our destinations wherever we’re spending Xmas this year, and having Xmas dinner.? Sure, if that’s how you feel, but if you want to dig deeper, and pull those blinders off and take another look at this case and investigate it more than the original investigators did back in 1975, then gather around the campfire time Machine, as we travel back in time.

I had time to add a flux capacitor to the fire pit so we can travel back in time with the campfire time machine, to 1975 where we look at 4 murders, an alleged attempted robbery, and man who’s been sitting on death row for 47 years and up until this year has been denied DNA testing of all 326 + pieces of evidence in hopes to prove his innocence, something that He has claimed since his initial arrest in 1975. This is the Campfire Crime Chronicles, a true crime podcast, and this, is the case, of Tommy Ziegler.
