We're broke. We like cars. And we're snobs about it. Three gents talk everything automotive, from muscle, to Euro, to JDM, to electric. Car stories, technology, Driver's Etiquette, modifications, servicing, history, you name it. Plus a fair bit of pop culture/off topic tangents. But in the end, if it has four wheels - that's our wheelhouse. We are... Bruce - The wildcard. Adam - Audis. Aaron - The not-a-car-guy guy.

We're back, sort of! The 2022 post-Thanksgiving holiday episode | BCS Ep S02E42

It feels like it's been ages, but we're back!  We took some time off for the 2022 Thanksgiving holiday, but we're back.  Bruce is taking a break, but AJ and Adam are here to keep you entertained nonetheless.

In this week's episode, we get caught up on all we missed - from eBay removing every listing for items that bypass US emissions, to Mercedes one-upping BMW's subscription based offerings, to TikTok's videos on how to steal Kias and Hyundais still being relevant.  It's all here.  Our movie this week - 2022's Robert Downey Jr's documentary on his father's life "Sr."

In the second half, Adam gives us some updates on what's going on with his cars.  Talks of a May 2023 road trip are in store for him as well.  And finally, AJ challenges us in how we'd react in unsafe situations while driving.

Adam talks vanity license plates, AJ witnesses madness, Bruce becomes a sniper | BCS Ep S02E41

In this week's episode, unfortunately we did not watch a car movie.  We did, however, watch Tokyo Drift, and discuss the Fast and the Furious franchise et al.  Following a tangent into our video game console history and Sniper Elite 5, AJ tells us about a crazy driver he witnessed firsthand.  We wrap up the first half with a discussion of how bad gear oil smells, and then vanity license plates - often times a phrase, inside joke, family name, etc.  California in particular has a bot on Twitter that posts requests people have made, and whether they were approved or denied.  We discuss.

In the second half, we talk about the 100 car pile up in Denver.  Adam floats the idea of an engine swap into the Allroad.  And we round out the episode with car and movie-based trivia.  Can you guess the movie based on the car?  Or the car based on the movie?

Bruce almost gets pulled over, Adam brings the news, AJ has a thing for weird car features | BCS Ep S02E40

In this week's episode, we're all over the place in the first half.  From Halloween to heating up fish in one's office, nothing is off limits.  Our movie this week - Ernest Scared Stupid, a Halloween classic?  Not really.  Bruce talks about his almost run in with law enforcement.  Adam ironically had a close run in as well, as well as random speed traps all in one day.  And a quick update on a certain Allroad's warranty replacement of it's AWD clutch - part of Audi's Quattro Ultra platform.

In the second half, we talk news.  From the lazy recall performed on GMC Terrains, to VW changing course on their capacitive steering wheel buttons.  A solid discussion of the Hummer EV, where it's used prices have plummeted almost $65,000 in a four month period.  The price of being first?  And then AJ brings up a long stretch of weird car features and we try to guess the car(s) owned by various rappers and musicians.

AJ talks badge engineering, Bruce forgets to hit record, Adam uses his warranty | BCS Ep S02E39

A short episode this week, we experienced some technical difficulties and lost half the episode.  That said, we recap what you missed.  Our movie this week, Jaws - a fitting classic for the leadup to Halloween 2022.  Then we talk about the most popular vehicle by US state, including how truck culture is the absolute worst.  New Jersey is making moves to stop car subscriptions from becoming a thing, such as BMW's controversial heated seats offering.  Carvana gets slapped around in Michigan.

In the second half of the episode, AJ quizzes us on the concept of badge engineering - cars that are essentially the same, but maybe with different bumpers and from different manufacturers.  GM has been notorious for this practice, can you guess better than Bruce and Adam?  Then we try to guess the car that is most associated with people's Myers-Briggs types.

Adam rages, AJ goes on a trip, Bruce predicts Monaco | BCS Ep S02E38

In the first half of this week's episode, AJ tells us about his trip down south.  Be sure to ask him what shoulders are for.  Our movie this week - 1982's cult classic The Thing.  It's October/Halloween season afterall.  Adam has been experiencing road rage this past week, he talks about why, in addition to wrapping up the Allroad's suspension retrofit.  Bruce criticizes the lack of a Thule on his ride though.  Big news out of Michigan - Carvana, the car vending machine company, is in deep trouble.

In the second half, we talk about last week's episode and how it was the epitome of lack of effort - sorry folks.  California draws our ire, when the owner of a Hyundai Elantra N owner gets a ticket for driving in N mode, and breaks Cali's exhaust loudness laws - despite being completely stock.  Another reason the state is a nightmare for car enthusiasts.  Also in the news, a Tesla goes 1600 miles without charging.  How is that possible?  And AJ brings up the end of the episode with some factoids and how technology has been driving car design trends.

AJ tries to upset technicians, Bruce is surprised by witches, Adam gets disappointed | BCS Ep S02E36

In this week's episode, it's officially October!  Bring on the pumpkin spice lattes, fall foliage, and Halloween.  In the first half this week, we're off the rails most of the time.  From discussing the virtues of Thanksgiving, to the virtues of capital punishment - no topics are out of bounds.  Our movie this week - Hocus Pocus 2.  Audi's headlights are getting crazy, Coolio crosses the rainbow bridge, and AJ and Adam experience a fool at a Denny's.  Adam gets his expensive suspension upgrade for the Allroad, only to find the two rear shocks are destroyed by UPS.  Mercedes shows off a fully touchscreen'ed out concept car, and we discuss haptic vs. touch interfaces.

In the second half, Adam talks some more about his suspension woes.  The TV show scrubs comes up, and a Dodge commercial Adam saw twice in the same week - but with a slight difference?  AJ brings us a list that would make technicians cry - parts that are notoriously inconvenient to service.

Adam has a song stuck in his head, AJ rhymes, Bruce becomes a roadblock | BCS Ep S02E35

In this week's episode, we can't hardly wait.  To talk about 1998's movie Can't Hardly Wait.  Back to being on topic, it's getting cold and dark out, what's up with that?  Bruce upsets another driver while in the line of duty.  Unrelated to that, Adam has a song stuck in his head, but can you guess which one?  His Allroad also passes its inspection for another year, and could potentially be headed up to Lake Placid for 2022's Avantoberfest car meet and cruise - a show dedicated to the long roofed German wagons.

In the second half, we discover a new and awesome website - The Internet Movie Car Database!  A website that catalogs what cars are present in movie and TV show episodes, including the background incidental cars.  Cool stuff, and we discuss some stats from the site.  AJ brings us car limericks.  And we try to guess the pricetag to fix a 2019 Audi A8L that got in an accident.

Bruce visits Night City, Adam visits New Jersey, AJ visits a railway | BCS Ep S02E34

In this week's episode, we binge watch all 10 episodes of Netflix's Edgerunners before recording.  It's also been a little cold out.  Adam talks about his wild weekend of driving.  From the epic VW and Audi show called Waterfest in NJ, to the Flight 93 memorial the following day in PA.  He put about 1000 miles on the RS4 and talks about the awesome trip.

In the second half, AJ brings us news of the Railway Labor Union's strike coming to an end.  We talk all the details.  And finally Adam talks another big huge expensive project he's undertaking soon - retrofitting the Euro-spec B9 Avant Sport Adaptive Suspension to his Allroad.  We round out the second half with some trivia, and a sneak peak into next week's discussion of the tragic limo accident that happened in NY in 2018.

In this week's episode, it's fricken hot out!  Before recording this episode, Adam discovered the tail lights on his Allroad were all jacked up.  The car was at the dealership a week ago for a couple recalls, and it looks like they reprogrammed a module back to factory settings - woops.  Our movie this week - Lake Placid.  Honda unveils the new Civic Type R.  A more mild look aesthetically, which can almost guarantee wider acceptance assuming the performance stays the same or better.  AJ brings us the Cadillac Celestiq, a $300,000 luxury EV.  A new bridge in LA gets broken in by some boneheads, the NHTSA OK's manufacturers to sell replicas of cars older than 25 years old, and BMW issues a statement on their subscription model.
