We also explore the topic of ex-players in proper debates, and whether tribalism plays a part in their involvement.

Join us on the latest episode of Box to Box as we dive into the two biggest football games of the weekend - Chelsea vs Spurs and Man United vs Newcastle. We discuss what's going on at Chelsea under Potter's leadership, the mental health comments, and whether there is enough team depth to carry the Spurs on to the top 4. We also debate if Harry Kane will make a move this season and where he might go....not something that needs to be talked about much.
Moving on to the Carabao Cup final, we analyze the performance of both teams, including whether Casemiro deserves the hype and if Weghorst is potentially Man Utd's unsung hero. We also discuss what's next for United, ETH and their chances in the FA Cup and Europa League, and predict the future of Newcastle under Eddie Howe.
On the latest episode of Box to Box, we dive into the latest developments surrounding Southampton FC, and it's not looking good. With another managerial change, we discuss the team's struggles and what this means for their future. Will they be better off getting relegated? Is Jessie Marsch the right fit? What happened to their plan and recruitment?
We also can't ignore the poor refereeing standards, especially after a weekend of scandalous errors. VAR and general refereeing probably saw their worst weekend in memory. What needs to be done to change these contentious decisions? VAR was there to avoid human errors, and we're still getting them?
Lastly, we touch on the second iteration of the super league and its potential impact on football. We debate the pros and cons of the idea and what it could mean for the future of the sport. The last two weeks have provided enough fuel from our perspective to change the conversation within the Super League, especially with the lack of financial controls and refereeing debates. Is it rife now for teams to jump?
Join Ade, Maz, CJ and me (Kush) as we tackle these topics and more on the latest episode of Box to Box.
Join us as we delve into the hot topics of the football world on the Box to Box Podcast. We dive into the latest breaking news surrounding Manchester City and the allegations of breaking over 100 rules relating to Financial Fair Play over the last decade in the Premier League. Maz, CJ, and Ade also analysed the impact this could have on the league and how it could change the landscape of the sport. Our discussion then shifts to the on-field performance of the team, including the integration of Erling Haaland into the squad and his role in their attack.
The tough question was: Does a central goalscorer hinder or develop a team's performance? It's increasingly important to develop the relationship between a striker and their supporting cast. The debate went further to compare the contrasting fortunes of both Haaland to Kane, discussing the impact both have on their respective teams and asking if Kane is the greatest English striker of all time.
We also explore the importance of having a well-rounded attack in today's game and whether relying solely on a single striker is still effective. Listen and enjoy the Box to Box podcast.

Leon, Ade, and I recorded this week's Box to Box Podcast and we were watching the Brazil vs South Korea game at which point it was already 4-0. There was an interesting debate on this week's podcast, namely about the heritage of footballers and where next for African teams. We've seen them go out of the tournament et again and Morocco holding the sole flag for Africa vs Spain which looks like it's going one way if I'm honest. I hope I am wrong. We also touched on the tactics that we're seeing in the World Cup. Do you have to be a wizard to manage a team? Look at Southgate, Deschamps, LVG, etc all bringing something different to the table. Lastly, we also wanted to discuss, do players owe anything to African teams and their heritage or doest the continent needs to shift towards developing its own academy stars and leagues.
It's all kicked off, literally on and off the field. We're back this week after the World Cup kicked off in Qatar. Ade Carlyle and I thought it would be a good time to discuss our thoughts on what has been happening leading up to the World Cup, broadcasters becoming political, and where we actually take a moral stand. We tried not to be too political but were certain that 4 games into the World Cup, we aren't really looking at the football. Everything around the tournament does not feel good. We touched on the armband situation, classically VAR and where can we go from here seeing as more and more injuries are happening. Are we going to see the leagues from next year suffer?
