Ulf Nermark, a Swedish national, is a marine biologist, photographer and teacher. He is a permanent resident in Botswana since 1990. This interview was done during his recent visit to Sweden, in the beginning of 2021. In the interview Ulf talks about fish farming projects in Botswana. To that he says, “In spite of the fact the interest in fish farming was very low for many years, I never lost interest and I have undertaken my own farming trials.” The Government of Botswana has renewed interest in developing the industry — very encouraging for the farming projects. Ulf is part of a FAO project team assisting the Government of Botswana to develop the aquaculture sector, in a more structured way.
