We’re not academics or scholars. We’re just three women, mamas, and friends who believe in the power of great books to grow our minds and hearts and those of our children. We have all been through seasons when we barely read and seasons when our brains felt left-behind. We have struggled to find the right things to read and people to talk about them with. But through our experiences with different book clubs, in-person and online, and dedicated reading through the years, we have started to crack the formula for keeping great books in our lives and families through all seasons. We love this journey, and we are on it with you.
That’s why we started Book Fare - to create a safe and welcoming place for women who care about the content of what they read- an exciting book club that combines FUN with truth, goodness and beauty!

Neville Longbottom. Snape. Elinor Dashwood. Jane Bennet. -Insert YOUR name here.-
What makes them - and you - tick?
Today we will learn and use the Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) to find out!
Welcome to the final installment of our Summer Series: Using Personality Systems as Literary Tools! We go over why use Personality Systems as Literary Tools, what is the MBTI, what do those four letters mean, and the first of 4 groups of 4: the IJs! We give literary examples of each type, espcially from Harry Potter and the Jane Austenverse. This was an epic topic so it's a 2-Parter.
Do you agree with our assessments? Disagree? What is your type? Head to the FB Group and let us know!
Stay tuned for Part II! We will go over the other three groups (EJs, EPs, and IPs) and what are the types of Harry Potter, Lizzy Bennet, and many more. We will finish up by working thru a series of questions to figure out what type Hermione is in a case study that is suitable for even the Hogwarts Library!
