My name is Kaylyn and I am an evolutionary biologist with a passion for all things avian. I’ve been an avid birdwater for the better part of a decade, but when I started, I had no idea what I was doing. I know first hand, just how hard it can be to learn to identify the amazing species we hear around us every day. That's why I created this series, tailored to the beginner birder.  Unlike some guides that only give you sounds and names, I Don't Know What the Flock I'm Doing teaches what to listen for, how to differentiate similar calls, and provides tips that will help you learn faster. This series will cover 200 bird species native to North America.  Best of all, it is (and will always be) 100% free.
