Beware The Wild Animals
TJ's Solo Adventures S2E10

Welcome to a rare solo episode of Beware The Wild Animals. There’s a reason my solo episodes are rare.

When I am sans guest, I have to over plan what I’m going to say. I also think I’m funnier than I really am. Put these things together, and you get a short and sometimes cringeworthy experience to behold.

Most podcasters would never release an episode that fits this description. But, I’m not most people. I don’t fit in a box and despite what some people may think, I don’t always play by the rules. That's the point of this podcast, isn't it?

So, if you’re even a little curious and have nothing else to do for the next thirteen minutes, press play and have a good laugh at my expense. Oh, and you just might come away with a new outlook on life.

We are taking a break this month in order to focus on some other projects. Our plan is to be back in October with an all new episode, but in the mean time, we hope you enjoy this encore presentation of our most popular episode.

In September, 2023, we spoke with Niki about her unique career choices and being a female in a male dominated community.

This is also a great time to revisit the show catalog and listen to there favorites or an episode you may have missed.

Lisa Ruoff: The Galavanting Goddess - Episode 2

Growing up in New Jersey as the black sheep of six kids, there is no earthly reason why Lisa Ruoff took such a unique life path. Along with crazy international adventures, she was also a sea kayak guide in Alaska, a chef for over two decades, and she’s renovated an 1820s farmhouse on an island in Vermont. She is now "settling down" to build a house on a mountain side in Colorado at 8200 ft with her partner in crime and fur babies.

Lisa is the author of the Galavanting Goddess series of travel memoirs that follow one woman's highly unconventional life path. Verging on the edge of chaotic abandon, these life chronicles exude pure entertainment, occasional turmoil, and an unquestionable trust in the process.
