Ep. 8 | On this week's episode, AAI Award Nominee Chloe Negrete shares how she decided to RETURN to Raleigh for a 6th year. She is pursuing her Master's degree in Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Sports Management and 2 Graduate Certificates in the following fields: Leadership & Volunteer Managemnet and Sport & Venue Management. With a vigorous athletic schedule and extreme dedication to balancing academic demands, it's no wonder that Chloe received the 2024 ACC Scholar of the Year award.
I value Chloe's underdog story in her journey TO NC State, as there are so many takeaways in betting on yourself and creating room for yourself in any space you desire to be in. Chloe is a dependable leader, and you'll find out why in this episode. I cannot wait to watch her final ride this season and look forward to returning to Carter-Reynolds to cheer her on in 2025.

Ep 7!! How special it was to connect with Sydney after all these years. When starting Beyond The Title, I had Sydney in mind, because of her dynamic career as a National Team Member, Univ. of FL gymnast, and because of all those she continues to impact while coaching. I first met Sydney sometime in 2010 at a region 8 gymnastics camp (cue the scary flashbacks, lol). To connect again feels like full circle!

Episode 6: Now this is an episode I have been waiting to release! GET READY- This girl is always dropping gems! Alaias joined Behind The Title to talk about the importance of balance and making room in your life for the things and people you value. Alaias is multifaceted– not only does she exercise her analytical and creative gifts as a Brand Manager for EA Sports, she is a successful content creator. She combines her certifications and research with firsthand experience as a Track & Field athlete at Michigan State to create digestible and energetic videos centered around bettering health.
When creating Behind The Title, I knew I would have Alaias on as a guest speaker very early. What she doesn’t know is that she truly was an inspiration to me when I was navigating a career change/figuring out how this creative outlet would fit into my life. I am so proud of her and she truly helps those around her elevate.

Ep. 5- Alayna Hester joined BTT and man, does this girl have an incredible story!!
To pursue a career without anyone you know to reference to is bada$$ in itself. Alayna broke down her early beginnings in acting, landing her first major role and how she would soon be battling thyroid cancer. Overcoming this sickness physically, mentally and emotionally, she now fearlessly creates, releasing her own music and being apart of AWARD-WINNING productions. A sweet NC native with a heart of gold, Alayna Hester is a name you want to remember. Her story is MOVING y'all!
Reconnecting with Alayna was truly a gift and it makes my heart SO happy knowing she is following all of her passions. Enjoy the EP!!

Ep. 4 [Solo]- In this episode, I share 3 key points that helped me reshape my thoughts about myself and capabilities & get out of a funk! Back in April 2024, I found myself in an extremely low place, unsure of how or where to begin working in my field and filled with doubts that kept me down. The 3 tips that I discuss inspired me to quit my job (YES!) moving back to Charleston and begin networking, which has led me to the exact opportunities that I was praying and searching for. It has NOT been easy, but if I can do it, you can do it too. I hope you enjoy this episode and find it encouraging.

Ep. 3- Kelani Jordan joined Behind The Title this week and we had a TIME! In this episode, we shared some laughs about MSU memories, discussed how she went from a potential Sports Broadcaster to a RISING WWE Superstar, experiencing fan support and hate from internet trolls (!!) and how her support system helps her through it all.
Lea and I have been friends since my first week of college at MSU. After living together and competing on the gymnastics team there, it's been so cool to see her use her strengths in this new career move with such grace. SO PROUD! I hope you all enjoy this episode!
