Productivity Hack for Working from Home: Putting on Shoes

One thing I’ve done every single day for the past decade before I sit down to work, is put on my shoes. From that very first day I started working for myself back in July 2013, putting on my shoes each morning and walking to my “desk” has been my mental shift into it is time to make sh*t happen.

As an entrepreneur that works from home, there are so many guardrails that you must put into place to stay focused. It is so easy to get distracted by cleaning, laundry, phone calls from your mom or running errands. As someone with ADHA and dyslexia, I know the power of structure.

This simple routine of putting on my shoes each day is a signal to my brain that this is a time to work. This is my dedicated time to building my dreams and career.

Shoes are on! Let’s take on this Monday!

Does running have a drinking problem?

Last month A.C. Shilton wrote a story for Runner's World titled, "Does running have a drinking problem?" Brunch Running is a community and brand that does include alcoholic beverages within it's evnets and marketing. That is why this conversation was a very important and a conversation that as a brand we needed to be a part of.

This is not a conversation where we are judging others. This story and this conversation look at the facts, studies and information provided by experts and presents them in a way where you can make the choices for yourself. If you are looking for help and support around your drinking, there are many organizations to support and help you.

This conversations reviews A.C.'s article and does talk about alcoholism.
