Before And After Stories
How Carrington Smith Recovered From a Laser Treatment Gone Horribly Wrong
With her newly published book, “Blooming: Finding Gifts in the Shit of Life”, Carrington Smith speaks of the many trying experiences that shaped her. It is a riveting, page-turner with tremendous online reviews, but the one thing that particularly struck a chord with us was the scarring IPL burn from hell that she had to deal with and the images we still can’t get out of our head.

Carrington describes the extensive damage done by her cosmetic procedure burns and the errors that led her to the awful experience that changed the trajectory of her life. With help from the right medical professionals, including expert laser specialist Jenny Burnley, she was able to fully recover.

Carrington’s recovery from cosmetic surgery gone wrong is only one of the many experiences that have inspired her to share a crucial message of loving yourself, celebrating inner and outer beauty, and practicing self-care. If you’ve ever wondered whether it’s a good idea to buy a Groupon for a laser treatment or call that surgeon who does those hilarious TikTok dances, you need to hear this story.

Before And After Stories
Beth’s BioTe: I Want Whatever She’s Having
Beth spent ten years of her life trying to figure out what was causing her muscle weakness, fatigue, joint pain, weight gain, anxiety and insomnia. By age 56, she needed a cane to walk and didn’t look like herself anymore, a side effect of long-term Prednisone use. She shuffled from doctor to doctor, seeing a rheumatologist, an endocrinologist, a neurologist, even an Indian healer.

For a decade, no one looked at the whole picture, only treating her symptoms. At the skin care clinic where she went to pamper herself and forget her misery for a few moments, Beth noticed the staff were always radiant and full of energy and asked what they were doing. When she began BioTe herself, the speed with which her health turned around was shocking. Hear Beth tell the amazing story about how her life has changed in the months since beginning treatment with BioTe.

Before And After Stories
Tammy's BioTe: Married Thanks to Pellet Therapy
Painful symptoms of menopause and low libido were holding Tammy back and hurting her most important relationship. A nurse herself, the physical changes she experienced at the beginning of menopause shocked her and her own gynecologist’s lack of advice was disappointing.

Although Tammy had never heard of bioidentical hormone therapy, trusted friends suggested she try it. Being open to this alternative changed her life practically overnight.

Shortly after starting BioTe treatment, Tammy candidly shared her story of how balancing and optimizing her hormones sparked a complete turnaround in her life and transformed her most important relationship. Her comically relatable story is an inspiring and eye-opening reminder of the importance of being open to more than what’s covered by your deductible.
