Today's episode is focused on Hironobu Sakaguchi's Lost Odyssey. Originally released on the Xbox 360 in 2008 to help draw in Japanese audiences, this Final Fantasy inspired JRPG was one of the handful of releases from Mistwalker. The soundtrack was composed by long-time collaborator Nobuo Uematsu, but free from brand expectation allowed wild experimentation from their normal output.

In this special release straight from our Kingdom Hearts, come behind the scenes of BBB for a discussion on the totally normal relationships of Kingdom Hearts characters. We hope you enjoy as we look over an infograph and go down the Sora / Xehanort Trees to discover if Joshua should go back in and give the series another try or not.
In today's episode Chris brings us Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, a 2013 action JRPG developed and published by Square Enix on the Nintendo DS. It's a game who's series reputation for being as convoluted as it's naming structure, we focus on the most black sheep of all the games and it's oft-overlooked amazing soundtrack. Music is composed by the legendary Yoko Shimomura.

In today's episode Chris brings us the celebrated remake of an iconic JRPG, Final Fantasy VII Remake. Released in 2020, developed and published by Square Enix, this turn based/action RPG is a reimagining of the 1997 classic that brought JRPGs to the West in a big way on the original PlayStation. While Final Fantasy VII on it's own would make for a great episode, we wanted to focus on it's new music, deeply embellished arrangements from the past, or wildly reinterpreted and mixed tracks supported by modern instrumentation throughout. Most of the music was originally composed for Final Fantasy VII by Nobuo Uematsu primarily, with new arrangements and compositions by Shotaro Shima, Yasunori Nishiki, Masashi Hamauzu, and Naoyuki Honzawa selected for today's episode.

In today's episode Joshua brings us a peculiar game from the Super Famicom with Ihatovo Monogatari (roughly translated "Ihatovo Stories"), a 1993 adventure developed and published by Hect and unreleased outside of Japan. In modern times a fansub has been released making it playable in the West, but those fortunate enough to have encountered it as an import rental in the 90s would have quite a tale of their own to share... With music is composed by Tsukasa Tawada, you're likely in for a real treat if you're a fan of SNES era game music with this lost gem.
