In a small village near a muddy river, an old fisherman named Saul was well-known for his fishing skills and love for adventure. One spring morning, he prepared his fishing gear, packed some food, and headed to the river, hoping to catch a fish after three days of bad luck.
As soon as he cast his fishing line, he felt something heavy and excitingly pulled it out, only to discover a mysterious, shiny hat instead of a fish.
He placed the wet hat on a willow branch to dry, and by afternoon, it glowed even more, as if it were made of gold, so he decided to try it on.
As soon as he wore it, the hat tightened around his head and warmed his forehead, making him realize it was magical.
One day, while resting under a tree, the hat showed him a vision of a house on fire with babies crying inside, which he recognized as a warning.
He rushed to the village, asking if anyone knew of such a house, and learned it belonged to a shepherd whose wife had just given birth to twins.
Running to the house with some villagers, they found it in flames, and despite their efforts to put it out, the wind made it worse.
Desperate, Saul pleaded for the hat’s help, and suddenly, the wind stopped, rain poured down, and he was able to save the babies.
The villagers celebrated Saul as a hero, believing the magical hat was a divine gift, and they gathered by the river every year to remember the miracle.
