A video games podcast for people too busy to play video games
After a couple months of no time to play games, we are excited for some stay indoor pastime to keep us out of the heat. Dave talks about cranking it up with PlayDate, Danh has the handsomest Master Chief, and Zach is addicted to the best games from three years ago.
We close out the month of February on a high note, Dave slays 12 minutes and starts his latest skateboard career, Danh continues to look for new loot to grind in Halo while giving Lost Ark a chance to be a Diablo replacement, and Zach actually beat Metroid Dread and Florence while flying home.
Happy New Year everybody! We're kicking off 2022(?) with a new episode of Aside Quest. This week Dave finally played some games as we talk about Return of the Obra Dinn, Twelve Minutes, Metroid Dread, and Wildermyth.
This week we talk about Halo Infinite Multiplayer! Is this our new everyday game? Is this something you should pick up? Also this episode Zach continues his dungeon crawling in Persona 5 and Danh finished one JRPG and started a new one.
Zach got his hands on Metroid Dread while Danh is venturing through the end of it. Danh also talks about Square Enix's latest JPRG Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars while Dave suggest some books he's been checking out.
Zach continues to dig into Deep Rock Galactic and also hopped on the pain train known as Overwatch. Also Danh got a hold of the new Nintendo Switch OLED and talks about his experience with Metroid Dread.
Danh played the Halo Infinite Multiplayer beta and wonders if this will be their next game, Dave got a new iPad Mini and discovered that Microsoft xCloud is playable on it and Zach got his viking boots on and played Valheim.
While Dave explores asymmetric horror sims, Danh dives deep into dodgeball trainer mastery and Warioware's latest offering on Switch, and Zach keeps mining and rebuilding the irradiated Boston landscape on PC.
The crew chat about the games they played in their latest stand-up that includes The Ascent, Deep Rock Galactic, Tribes of Midgard, Axiom Verge and Mini Motorways. Dave also have a solution for Battle Passes for competitive gaming.
