India is currently undergoing a significant event called “The Dance of Democracy.” Several state elections are taking place in India, and in 2024, the Lok Sabha elections will be held, making it an essential event. BJP will strive to secure another clear victory under the leadership of Modi-Shah, while INC and other regional parties will be working to end their political drought. However, before entering this political frenzy, allow me to introduce you to an intriguing book titled “How to Win an Indian Election” by Shivam Shankar Singh.

Demon Slayer 2 was a great hit among anime fans, and since the day it ended, the fans waiting for the next season. Season 2 had all the elements of a great show, high-octane action sequences, top-class animation, story, script, and thrill. Demon Slayer creators only increased the expectations of its viewers with each season, and they promised another great season. Now, all the episodes of season 3 are already aired, and I can’t wait to talk about it.

Bhuvan Bam is one of the most successful YouTubers of our time. We all know him from his channel “BB ki Vines” which has more than 25 million subscribers. In 2021 he launched a web series named “Dhindhora” which was highly successful and praised web series. Now Bhuvan Bam is back with a new show, “Taaza Khabar”, but not on YouTube but on Disney+ Hotstar. Let’s find out if the show is as good as his previous ventures. 

Cobra Kai is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated and revered series on Netflix. Cobra Kai has only grown its fan base and audience with each season. This also started a trend of creating TV series after successful movie franchises, like the recently released “Rings of Power” after “The Lord of The Rings”.  This show is about martial arts, fights, conspiracies, and friendship, and these traits are in all seasons. Netflix is out with Cobra Kai Season 5 now, and I am very excited to talk about it.

The fascination with Ravana is unmatched today, and several intellectuals and authors tried to tell the Ramayana from Ravana’s perspective. Anand Neelakantan also tried to retell his story in “Asura: Tale of the Vanquished.”

The author created a world of Asuras, who were indigenous people of India. They were black and living in a free society where everyone had equal opportunity to rise. Men and women competed with each other equally and followed the way of Dharma. There was a continuous tussle between followers of Shiva, who were indigenous people of India, and followers of Vishnu, the Devas’ who were foreigners. Devas’ wanted to conquer India, but the Asura army was a big thorn in their path. Ravana was an over-ambitious person, who decided to take back everything which was taken from Asura. He learned everything from the old king Mahabali, and gradually started his long journey to glory.

We have several books on heroes who fought in these wars and showed extreme acts of bravery and velour. But these wars were not the only times our heroes showed the metal they were made of. Our consistent struggle with neighbors introduced us to many more heroes to be proud of. Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh tried to tell a few stories of these modern-time heroes in their first book from the franchise, “India’s Most Fearless”.

What started with Baahubali led to all-time blockbusters like Baahubali 2, Pushpa, RRR, and Karthikeya 2 to the recent hit Kantara. However, out of all these movies, Kantara is special. Let me tell me you how and why.

Kantara is the story of Shiva, the Kambala champion from the village of Kaadubettu. He has several bad habits like drinking, gambling, and petty fights, despite hailing from a family of priests, who perform Bhoota Kola every year to pray to a Demi-God Panjurli. He came in loggerhead along with the rest of the village with the new forest officer Murlidhar, tasked to define forest reserves and stop the villagers from exploiting forest resources. That leads to several ups and downs in Shiva’s life and an extraordinary climax.

2022 was not a good year for Bollywood when we talk about new stories and concepts. On the other hand, India saw a massive surge of new stories and subjects from South Indian Cinema, and they were praised and loved throughout India. While the year was about to end, Varun Dhawan brought a fresh concept for Bollywood, a horror-comedy, Bhediya. The story is based on a man turning into a Werewolf and how that changed his life. Hollywood has a long list of movies and TV shows on this subject, but could Bollywood do any justice to it, let’s find out.

Bhaskar and his cousin Janardhan visit a small village in Arunachal Pradesh for a road construction project. Bhaskar was bitten by a Wolf when he was roaming around in the forest, at night. He was somehow saved by a local animal veterinarian, but later he started turning into a Werewolf and killing people. He looked for a cure with his friends, and that led the story to several twists and turns, and a beautiful climax.
