Atmosphere and World Building in COD Zombies has ALWAYS been one of my most favorite aspects to the mode. Which is why  @BWTSIX  and I get into the weeds about its importance and whether or not BO7 is going to get us back on track with this foundational principle to the mode!

Black Ops 7 Zombies has left me with a good impression based on not only how the game feels but with how Treyarch has been responding inside of the current discourse (surrounding MP and other controversies). I still think we have a long road ahead of us... but I am largely positive in the interim. Hopefully Treyarch can maintain course and deliver a great product this year.

While it started off VERY strong, Black Ops 6 has been one of the most confusing games I have ever played. And even though there is a lot to love about Modern Zombies, I'd say right now more than ever I am immensely frustrated.

While in my most recent review of Shattered Veil, where we discussed how great the map is, I can't help but feel like something is missing from the overall zeitgeist of COD Zombies as a whole. And so in this podcast  @Doughnuts  and  @AfterlifeAnalysis  discuss what Treyarch ought to do in order to level up the franchise by mixing classic, modern, and even new elements into the mode to hopefully rejuvenate this amazing game mode. ____________________________________

No one can deny the success of BO6 Zombies at launch but the depth that many old-school fans crave has seemingly been not met by Treyarch. Treyarch has shifted Zombies gameplay systems from in-map to in-menu and while this change works in some regards, for the most part it takes away what makes zombies special... in-map depth.
