This week we read about the AFL/NFL merger which was first announced June 8th, 1966 and Congress allowed the merger to proceed in October then Lyndon B. Johnson signed it into law in November of the same year. We'll learn about the NFL' competition before the AFL, the creation of the AFL and of course the merger.
