In this episode I continue the conversation with Monageng "Vice" Motshabi, and now that we know who he is as a human and as a practitioner, we dive deep into his company: diartskonageng. We discuss the emergence of the company, its relation to his name, and the way in which publishing decisions are made. In the end, we consider the future and whether Vice is hopeful about it or not.

In this episode I sit down with Cape Town based theatre maker, puppet maker, director, producer and performer, Janni Younge. This is a special episode that breaks with tradition on this podcast in that this is the first time I am interviewing an artist from and in Cape Town. What's more I got to watch her puppetry rendition of Hamlet at the Baxter Theatre. Hamlet is also special because I was in the process of grieving my own loss while teaching the text, and so this episode was enriching not only for the usual listeners and me (obvs), but for literature students too.
