Welcome to A Pleb's Take, and let's embark on this enlightening journey together.
Welcome, plebs! In today's show, I'm thrilled to introduce our very first guest, my best friend and the producer of this show, Ryan Stewart.
In this episode, Ryan and I delve into his journey through Bitcoin and Nostr. I'll also be answering a few of his questions about wallets and networks. It seems Ryan is well on his way to becoming a Bitcoiner, and I'm proud to say I'm the one who pulled him into it. He's even reached the phase where his wife rolls her eyes every time he mentions Bitcoin, and I absolutely love it!
Anyway, plebs, I hope you enjoy my conversation with Ryan on the world of Bitcoin and Nostr.

In our modern world, too often clouded by uncertainty and despair, where headlines scream of economic turmoil and societal unrest, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, to lose sight of hope. But amidst the chaos, there's a beacon of light, a digital revolution quietly rewriting the rules of finance and reshaping our understanding of freedom.
Welcome to "A Pleb's Take," where honesty meets exploration, and authenticity reigns supreme. I'm your host, Trevor Bello, and today, I want to share a deeply personal journey—a journey that began with skepticism but led to profound optimism, all thanks to one revolutionary technology: Bitcoin.
In this episode, we'll delve into how Bitcoin, once dismissed as mere digital currency by some and condemned as a tool for criminals by others, became a source of hope, resilience, and empowerment for me. I'll share the moments of doubt, the questions, and ultimately, the revelations that transformed my perspective on the world and my place within it.
From the ashes of financial crises and governmental overreach, Bitcoin emerged—a decentralized, borderless form of money, built on principles of transparency, censorship resistance, and individual sovereignty. But for me, it became more than just a financial instrument. It became a symbol of possibility, a catalyst for change, and a glimmer of hope in an otherwise hopeless world.
Join me as we explore the transformative power of Bitcoin—not just as a digital currency, but as a beacon of hope in turbulent times. Together, let's uncover how embracing this revolutionary technology can offer solace, inspiration, and a renewed sense of purpose in an uncertain world.
This is "A Pleb's Take," and I'm Trevor Bello. Let's dive in.

Welcome Plebs! I am excited to share another episode of A Plebs Take. In this quick episode, I go over why I believe the newly approved Bitcoin ETFs are counter-intuitive to our goals as Bitcoiners. It is not my place nor do I have any right to tell you how and where you should purchase Bitcoin. I am not giving financial or legal advice, I am simply articulating my reasons for not buying captured Bitcoin. I do briefly touch on a few reasons someone might purchase the ETF...but I don't put any weight into that bucket. Because seriously Fuck The Suits and Fuck the ETF

Welcome Plebs! Today I have an exciting show talking about Nostr the decentralized, censorship-resistant social media protocol. Nostr is social media for the free man and you can create your keys for free and without fear of government oversight.

Welcome to Episode 3 of A Plebs Take, on today's episode, we discuss how protocols like HTTP, IP, SMTP, Bitcoin, and nostr differ from platforms like Meta, Google, and Amazon.
Protocols rule our online lives and we cannot communicate within the network without these important protocols. They are the language of the internet, the rules per se.
Platforms are built within protocols and are similar to walled gardens. They are not inherently bad or good they just are. The important factor for us is to understand when we are using a protocol and when we are using a platform.
