Laura Carreira reflexionó en la sección Conversaciones sobre las posibilidades que tiene el cine para promover el cambio, sacudir conciencias y fomentar historias que puedan cambiar la forma en que la sociedad responde a las crisis. Carreira ganó ganó la Concha de Plata a la mejor dirección con su debut en el largometraje, On Falling (Sección Oficial, 2024), durante la 72ª edición del Festival de San Sebastián. Moderada por Amaia Serrulla, responsable del Departamento de Documentación y Películas, la conversación de la cineasta portuguesa tuvo lugar el 26 de septiembre de 2024 dentro de las sesiones programadas en el marco de la sección Nest en la sala de cine de Tabakalera.
Aldaketa eragiteko, kontzientziak astintzeko eta gizarteak krisiei erantzuteko duen modua alda dezaketen istorioak sustatzeko zinemak dituen aukerez hitz egin zuen Laura Carreirak Hizketaldiak atalean. Carreirak zuzendari onenaren Zilarrezko Maskorra irabazi zuen On Falling (Sail Ofiziala, 2024) bere lehen film luzearekin. Nest sailaren barruan antolatuta eta Amaia Serrulla Dokumentazioa eta Filmak Saileko arduradunak moderatuta, Portugalgo zinemagilearen hizketaldia 2024ko irailaren 26an izan zen, Tabakalerako zinema aretoan, Donostia Zinemaldiaren 72. edizioan.
As part of the Film Talks section, Laura Carreira discussed the potential of film to promote change and shake people's consciences, as well as telling stories that can transform society’s response to crises. The Portuguese filmmaker won the Silver Shell for Best Director with her feature film debut, On Falling (Official Selection, 2024). Carreira’s intervention took place on September 26 2024 at the Tabakalera Cinema during the 72nd edition of the San Sebastian Festival. Moderated by Amaia Serrulla, head of the Documentation and Film Department, the film talk was one of those programmed as part of the Nest section.
