Antxon Eceiza zinema-kritikaria eta Nuevo Cine Español joerako ordezkari garrantzitsua izan zen; Donostia Zinemaldian hainbat ardura izan zituen; ‘Ikuska’ dokumental-sorta ekoiztu eta, besteak beste, ‘Ke arteko egunak’ filma zuzendu zuen; euskaraz egindako zinemaren aitzindaria izan zen, zinemagilea eta eragilea aldi berean… Baina hil eta 12 urtera, zuzendari ‘maldito’ ala gaitzetsitakoaren etiketari lotuta jarraitzen du donostiarrak. Zergatik? Kapitulu honetan galdera horri eta beste hainbat konturi erantzuna ematen saiatuko dira Maialen Beloki Zinemaldiko zuzendariordea, Irati Crespo Artxiboko lankidea eta Beñat Sarasola ikerlari eta irakaslea. Horretarako, Euskadiko Filmategian gordetzen den Eceizaren artxibo pertsonaletik hiru dokumentu hautatu dituzte.

Antxon Eceiza fue crítico de cine e importante representante de la corriente Nuevo Cine Español; tuvo distintas responsabilidades en el Festival de San Sebastián; produjo la serie documental ‘Ikuska’ y dirigió, entre otras películas, ‘Ke arteko egunak’; fue pionero del cine hecho en euskera, director y activista al mismo tiempo… Pero doce años después de su muerte, el donostiarra continúa vinculado a la etiqueta de director ‘maldito’. ¿Por qué? En este episodio trataremos de dar respuesta a esa y otras cuestiones junto a Maialen Beloki, subdirectora del Festival; Irati Crespo, compañera del Archivo, y Beñat Sarasola, investigador y profesor. Para ello, han elegido tres objetos del archivo personal de Eceiza custodiado en la Filmoteca Vasca.

Antxon Eceiza was a film critic and an important representative of the New Spanish Cinema movement; he had different responsibilities at the San Sebastian Festival; he produced the documentary series 'Ikuska' and directed, among other films, 'Ke arteko egunak'; he was a pioneer of films made in Basque, director and activist at the same time... But twelve years after his death, the San Sebastian-born filmmaker is still linked to the label of 'cursed' director. Why? In this episode we will try to answer this and other questions with Maialen Beloki, deputy director of the Festival; Irati Crespo, a colleague from the Archive, and researcher and teacher Beñat Sarasola. To do so, they have chosen three objects from Eceiza's personal archive held at the Basque Film Archive.
