What does having HIV mean if you are pregnant? If you were an influencer living with HIV, would you share your diagnosis with your audience? This episode explores the ways external stigma and biases can permeate the lives of people living with HIV. We’ll also confront the decision to share your HIV diagnosis —and the consequences that decision might bring, both good and bad. Our guests are: Angelina Namiba, the Kenyan-born founder of 4M Network, a UK-based group providing peer mentoring and support to mothers living with HIV. She recounts her struggles to find support and compassion during her own pregnancy and how that experience informs her work today. Justin James, the King of Reads, a social media creator from Atlanta known for his sharp commentary on trending cultural issues and navigating society as a Black American—as well as his public journey with HIV.
