
Munira Abdullahi is the first Somali-American and Muslim woman elected as an Ohio State Representative, representing OH-D9 in the 135th Ohio General Assembly. Although raised in Columbus, Munira came to the US as a child refugee which was the initial spark for her to devote her life to non-profit work and public service. Additionally, Munira has worked as the MAS Columbus Youth Director since 2012 with a focus in promoting youth development, leadership, and community service. In her free time Munira enjoys weightlifting, martial arts, reading, and soccer.
