SEEN23: The LAMP Programme: How Two Education Students Created a Social Enterprise that Provides University Excursions and Career Guidance

In this episode, we talk to Tiisetso Madisha and Thando Simatu, two of the founders of the LAMP programme, a social enterprise that focuses on university excursions and career guidance. They tell us how they started the LAMP programme as a way of sharing their knowledge and experience with high school learners, and how they tackle the Sustainable Development Goals, mainly Quality Education and Decent Work and Economic Growth. They also explain how they provide high school learners with the opportunity to learn about the university and the importance of choosing the right subjects in high school, looking at their own strengths and weaknesses. They also share how they partner with various universities, schools, and organizations to provide learners with more exposure and opportunities. Tiisetso and Thando are both students of education at UWC, and they have a passion for improving the access and quality of higher education and career guidance for high school learners. Join Tiisetso and Thando and discover how they created the LAMP programme, a social enterprise that aims to light up the future of high school learners.
