Overcoming Grief, Emotional Eating by Taking One Small, Sustainable Step Each Week - a More for Mom Summit Series

In this powerful and inspiring episode, Cara chats with Chevaunne Macpherson, a mom who turned unimaginable grief into a catalyst for profound personal change.

Chevaunne shares her journey of losing 130 pounds, overcoming emotional eating, and finding joy and community through fitness.

If you're feeling stuck or overwhelmed, her story is a beautiful reminder that transformation is possible one small, intentional step at a time.

TLFMTR (Too Long For Mom To Read):

  • The Power of Small Steps: Transformation doesn't require a massive overhaul overnight. Chevaunne’s journey began by making one small change each week, like adding greens to her diet and starting a daily walk, proving that slow progress is sustainable progress.

  • Find Your Turning Point: A friend's sudden heart attack was the catalyst for Chevaunne, reminding her of the importance of her own health for the sake of her children and family.

  • Action as an Outlet: When feelings of anger or being overstimulated arise, having a physical outlet is crucial. Chevaunne learned to "leave it on the mat" or on the running trail, preventing emotions from building up inside.

  • There is Hope: No matter how dark things seem, Chevaunne is living proof that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Believing you can get past the pain is the first step toward finding it.

If you could take just one small, gentle step towards the life you desire this week, what would it be?

Remember, you are a great mom, and you're not alone in this.
