
Welcome to our first episode featuring sport and fitness lead Mark Baker, and to start us off before you listen in, we thought we’d introduce Mark to those who don’t know him.
Mark leads our Sports and Fitness Team, who offer tailored gym programmes, fitness classes such as circuit training and monthly fitness challenges to our service users.
He is passionate about living a fit and healthy lifestyle and helping others to do so. He has played a major part in the development of our new staff gym at Queen Mary’s Hospital and is regularly involved in advice and guidance for colleagues to improve their health and wellbeing.
As part of the first podcast, Mark talks about nutrition – keeping it simple and sustainable and tackling diet myths; about exercise and physical activity, aerobic and resistance training and about how we can achieve good sleep hygiene with sleep hacks for our night workers.
