He was my first client a few years ago, and we've stayed in touch ever since. Yes, he recruited me despite my inexperience. At the time, I had no prior experience. He taught me a lot, particularly in the field of real estate.
It brings back memories to speak with him and be reminded of the important things in life. This episode taught me the following:
Planning is critical
I am the type of person that prefers to have everything orderly, therefore I constantly plan ahead for work. I agree with him when he says that people lack planning.
Always strive to improve
We should accomplish more than the basic minimum if we want to achieve something or receive a promotion.
How to Deal with Failure
I like how he views failure as a natural part of life, how we should perceive it, and how to get back up after failing.
Here are the topics discussed in this episode: 1. What are your qualifications when your hiring people? (6:32) 2. How did you know when the applicant is the right fit for the role (8:54) 3. Why did you decide to hire a newbie? (10:26) 4. How did you decide when you are letting go of someone? (10:33) 5. Tips for aspiring REVAs (14:08)
