In this episode, I interview three incredible advocates who have worked in the adoption space in Washington state over the past decades: Washington State Supreme Court Justice Mary Yu, attorney and former court commissioner Eric Watness, and attorney and advocate Barbara Wechsler. We discuss the history of same-sex adoption in Washington state, legislative changes that empowered queer folks to form legal relationships to one another, and what the future might hold for the legal treatment of queer family-making.
