Liberty Choir UK: New Beginnings and Relationships through Participatory Music Making

In this episode, we chat with Ginny Dougary and MJ Paranzino about Liberty Choir UK, a full-circle charity which aims to promote liberation from the criminal justice system through song. We talk about the growth of the choir and the process of “full-immersion”, where everyone involved in the choir is welcomed into a family. We also discuss their response during the Covid-19 lockdown and the production of Liberty Choir Radio. This podcast is co-hosted by Rebecca Ward and Holly Jackson.

Trigger warning: this podcast contains conversations around the criminal justice system.
