Rachel & Tanvi sit down with Renata Soto, Founder & President of Mosaic Changemakers in an episode all about building intentional community in our adult lives - and what that actually looks like.

Renata was born and raised in Costa Rica and then found herself setting up life in the US for graduate school, and for love (she fell in love with an American surfer, and the story involves a meet-cute on a Costa Rican beach followed by years of handwritten letters).

Building real community as an adult is complex, and even more so when you’re an immigrant who has to build from scratch. Not only did Renata do this personally, but she made it her mission professionally, too (she co-founded and led Conexión Américas, which serves Tennessee’s Latinx and immigrant communities, and was asked to serve on the White House Hispanic Advisory Commission in 2022).
